Hendershot finished his career as the Hoosiers tight ends receptions (136) and yardage (1,479) leader. The three-time All-Big Ten selection finished second with 14 touchdowns. Hendershot graduated with a liberal studies degree in May 2021.

2020 (Junior): Finished second on the team with 23 receptions for 151 yards with four touchdowns, also second on the team ... the four scores shared second (T-10th overall) and the 23 catches shared fourth among conference tight ends ... started all eight games ... made two tackles and forced one fumble ... posted season-highs with six receptions and 34 yards, and he recorded his first career two-TD contest in the win at Rutgers (10/31) ... made four grabs for 31 yards with one touchdown in the No. 23 Michigan victory ... IU offensive player of the week (Rutgers).

2019 (Sophomore): Set Indiana single-season tight end records with 52 receptions (10th in the Big Ten) and 622 yards ... tied for third with four touchdowns ... started all 13 games ... tied for fourth among tight ends nationally in catches and 10th in yardage ... finished second among Big Ten tight ends in receptions and yardage, and tied for third in scores ... ranked second on the Hoosiers in catches and yardage, and tied for third in TDs ... averaged 47.8 yards per game, 4.0 receptions per game, and 12.0 yards per grab ... led the team in catches seven times (7 times game-high) and in yardage four times (2 times game-high) ... posted seven games with 50-or-more yards and six games with five-or-more receptions ... caught four balls for 69 yards with a two-point conversion in the season-opening win vs. Ball State (8/31) ... brought in four passes for 70 yards with a career-long 49-yard touchdown against No. 6 Ohio State (9/14) ... added 95 yards on six catches in the victory at Maryland (10/19) ... posted a career-best seven receptions for 51 yards at No. 9 Penn State ... hauled in six balls against No. 13 Michigan (62 yards on 11/23) and in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl vs. Tennessee (67 yards on 1/2) ... 2018 (Freshman): Started 10 games and played in 11 overall ... led the tight ends with 15 receptions, 163 yards, and two touchdowns ... recorded two tackles, one for loss, and blocked a punt in the Ball State victory (9/15) ... made his first career catch, a 3-yard TD, in the season-opening win at Florida International (9/1) ... netted two receptions for 47 yards, including a 25-yarder on fourth down to seal the win, at Rutgers (9/29) ... hauled in a 32-yard score at No. 3 Ohio State (10/6).

2017: Played in the first four games before he suffered a season-ending injury and received a medical redshirt.
