When you delete a Zoom cloud recording, or when it is deleted as per Zoom Cloud Recording Retention, it goes to the Zoom cloud Trash for 30 days before permanent deletion (note: This only applies to cloud, not local, recordings). You can recover (undelete) cloud recordings during those 30 days. Zoom will send you an email notification 7 days before the recording is permanently deleted.
Recover Zoom Cloud Recordings from Zoom Cloud Trash
- In a web browser, go to stonybrook.zoom.us and sign in using NetID/NetID password
- On the left, click Recordings
- If there are any cloud recordings in the trash, you will see a Trash link in the top right. Click this link to see any deleted cloud recordings within the past 30 days.
- To recover the recording, click Recover on the right.
- Click Recover again to confirm.
- Your recording will then be available again in your recordings list. If you recover a cloud recording deleted as per Zoom Cloud Recording Retention, recovering will make the recording available for download for only 24 hours.
