It’s clear that everyone in the nonprofit sector came away from these last two years with a far greater appreciation for and commitment to maintaining strong budgetary positions, including funds held in reserve and plans for effectively dealing with emergency scenarios.

Fundraising, and especially major gifts campaigns, are simply not a quick fix process.

This workshop will help newly formed nonprofits, small nonprofits, or nonprofits that do not have a robust fundraising program. Participants will leave inspired, with specific, manageable strategies to implement in their organization. It will help organizations to stay relevant, vibrant, and fiscally sound so they can continue to improve the quality of life in Elkhart County.

This workshop is designed to be a springboard after nonprofits would have received initial or subsequent funding from CFEC or other grantors to aid them in the launch and fulfillment of their mission. "What I can assure these organizations is that when properly carried out, these methods for raising important financial resources can grow operational dollars going forward, build reserves to sustain the organization for periods of fiscal challenges in the future, and establish or expand endowment funds to guard against unforeseen circumstances and/or emerging opportunities," our speaker Leigh Ann Jacobson says.

This daylong training event will cover:
  • Building your fundraising strategy
  • Annual giving
  • Major gifts and launching a campaign
  • Board development and building a culture of philanthropy
  • Managing data
  • Donor and volunteer stewardship
  • An introduction to annual giving
This workshop offered by The Learning Center is for leaders of nonprofit organizations in Elkhart County or those serving Elkhart County.
