Hiren Shah, the development team lead for z/OS Cloud Enablement, will open and speak on z/OSMF. IBM z/OS Management Facility (z/OSMF) provides a framework for managing various aspects of a z/OS system through a task oriented, web browser interface. By streamlining some traditional tasks and automating others, z/OSMF can help to simplify some areas of system management and reduce the level of expertise needed for managing a system. In this session, we will provide overview of various z/OSMF functions. We will also discuss z/OSMF workflow technology that would enable system programmers to modernize and automate system management and configuration tasks.

For the Security Trends & Directions, session David Rossi, NA Cyber Security Architect, will share IBMs view on Security Strategy for Z and discuss some hot trends/products. Products discussed during session will include Data Privacy Passports EKMF-Web,  MFA 2.1, zSecure 2.4 and Cloud Pak for Security.

To wrap up the meeting, Ernie Gilman, a Z Systems Middleware Technical Specialist, who has been with IBM no shorter than 45 years, will be presenting on What’s New with OMEGAMON, which includes:

  • IZSME: Exciting New Zowe-based OMEGAMON GUI for TEP users
