LANSING, Mich., Jan. 12, 2023 — Speaker of the House Joe Tate (D-Detroit) today announced the chairs of the Michigan House of Representatives standing committees, subcommittees and appropriations subcommittees.

“The committee process is invaluable to the work of the Legislature,” said Tate.  “Committee is where residents and stakeholders can make known their positions on public policy and where legislators can get a better understanding of the potential impact of newly introduced laws.  House Democrats are eager to begin committee work and to make good on the promises made to the people of Michigan.”
