Biography

2022 (Redshirt Junior)
  • Appeared in 12 matches and 14 total sets
  • Recorded eight kills on the season
  • Posted a pair of kills and was in on one block in her Rainbow Wahine debut against Pittsburgh (8/27)
  • Named to the Big West Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Prior to UH:
  • Was a member of the St. Mary’s (CA) women’s indoor volleyball team from 2018-’21. Redshirted as a freshman in 2018 and played two official seasons at outside hitter from 2019-21 (including Covid season in 2020)
  • In 2021, although she missed three matches due to injury, recorded a team-best 219 kills, 2.52 kills/set (tied with Elena Baka), and 260.0 total points … finished third on the team with 20 service aces and 174 digs while logging 37 total blocks
  • In 2021 put down at least 10 kills 13 times—including a streak of six-straight matches with double-digit kills from Sept. 28-Oct. 28 … in her final season as a Gael, also recorded three double-doubles last season.
  • For her St. Mary’s career, recorded 391 kills (2.43 k/s), 306 digs, 70 total blocks, 31 service aces, 36 assists and 460.5 total points (2.86 p/s)
  • She earned her Bachelor's degree in communications from St. Mary's in the Spring of 2022
 
Prep:
  • A 2018 graduate of King Kekaulike High School in Kula, Maui
  • A four-year letterwinner in volleyball
  • Was tabbed an all-state Fab 15, earned all-state first team honors in 2016 and was voted to the HHSAA all-tournament team in 2016
  • Earned all-league honors for three straight seasons (2015-17). She helped lead the Na Ali'i to three-consecutive league titles (2014-16) and placed fourth at the 2016 HHSAA tourney.

  • She is pursuing a Master's degree in communications
  • Has an older sister and an older brother, Colton, who was an AVCA All-American who helped lead the Rainbow Warrior volleyball team to its first NCAA title in 2021
  • Parents are Christina Stevens-Cowell of Makawao, Maui and Cody Cowell of Manhattan Beach, Calif.
