2023 (Graduate)
  • A first-team AVCA All-American for the second straight year with Kaylee Glagau.
  • The first UH pair to earn the honor in back-to-back years.
  • Also the Big West Pair of the Year, becoming the conference’s first repeat winner of the award.
  • A first-team all-Big West selection for the third straight year. 
  • Named Big West Pair of the Week with Glagau three times during the season.
  • Gained AVCA Top Flight honors after winning a phenomenal 93 percent (27-2) of matches at the No. 1 court.
  • Awarded the Best Attacker in the Duke Kahanamoku Beach Classic. 
  • Went 31-4 overall while playing all but three matches at the No. 1 flight. 
  • Played the first three matches of the season with Jaime Santer, going 2-1 at the No. 1 flight.
  • Spent the rest of the season with Glagau, going 29-3.
  • Set a new single-season record for winning percentage (.906, 29-3) by a UH pair.

2022 (Senior)

  • Just the second UH player to earn All-America honors in both indoor and beach during the same academic year.

  • Also a first-team all-Big West selection. 
  • Named Big West Pair of the Week with Glagau a record four times during the season.
  • Also named the AVCA/CBVB Pair of the Week, part of just the third UH pair to earn the national recognition. 
  • Gained AVCA Top Flight recognition for winning 75 percent of matches at the No. 1 flight.
  • Named Best Attacker following the season-opening Heineken Duke Kahanamoku Beach Classic.
  • Went 31-10 on the season, including 30-10 at the No. 1 flight with Galgau.
  • One of just six pairs in program history to win 30 dual matches in a season.
  • Nearly half (14) the pairs’ wins came against ranked opponents.
  • Enjoyed a season-long nine-match win streak.
  • Also won eight straight matches at one point with five of those wins against ranked squads.  
  • Recorded the clinching point in UH’s 3-2 win over Cal Poly during the Big West Challenge.
  • Along with Glagau, the only player to appear in all 41 dual matches during the season.
  • Named UH's Big West Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

2021 (Junior)
  • Named All-Big West first team with partner Amber Igiede.
  • Played all 27 matches, all but four of them with Igiede.
  • The duo went 16-7 overall while playing at the top two flights, including a 9-1 mark at the No. 2 court.
  • Earned Big West Pair of the Week with Igiede after going a perfect 7-0 in UH’s road trip to the Husky Invitational.
  • Went 12-1 in their final 13 matches of the season, including a team-long 11-match win streak.
  • Also teamed with Harlee Kekauoha for the first four matches of the season, going 2-2 at the No. 1 flight.
  • Named academic all-Big West.

2020
  • Played all nine matches at the No. 3 flight.
  • Partnered with Amy Ozee for all nine matches.
  • Went 7-2 overall.
  • All but one of the wins came in straight sets.
  • Five of seven matches won came against ranked squads
  • Among those wins was a three-set victory over Kahlee York and Ashlyn Rasnick-Pope of No. 3 LSU.  
  • Won five straight matches and 10 straight sets to conclude the season. 
  • Earned UH Scholar-Athlete Award.
2020 Match Results

UH Indoor Volleyball Prior to UH
  • Played two seasons at Oregon on their indoors women's volleyball team 2016, 18 (medical redshirt 2017) and one season on their beach volleyball team
  • Appeared in 67 career matches spanning three seasons with 30 starts
  • Played in all 31 matches as a freshman for the Ducks
  • After a strong start as a sophomore, a season-ending injury derailed her second season after appearing in just six matches and earned a medical redshirt in 2017.
  • In 2018 as a redshirt sophomore, Van Sickle appeared in 30 matches and finished third on the team with 31 service aces, fourth with 252 digs. She also posted 108 kills
  • In her three year career at Oregon, Van Sickle played in 237 sets and tallied 203 kills, 42 service aces and 468 digs
  • Is second in the Oregon single-game record books with nine aces against Portland State (8/28/18)
  • Notched a career-high 12 kills twice--last season against Stanford (10/21/18) and as a freshman against Utah (11/9/16).
  • Against #5 Nebraska in the Ducks' opening tournament of 2017, Van Sickle recorded a double-double with 11 kills and a team-high 22 digs with three service aces.
  • Earned scholar-athlete honors as a freshman in 2016
  • Was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the Make-A-Wish Club
Prep
  • a 2016 graduate of Battle Ground High School (Wash.)
  • A highly touted three-sport athlete, she earned four varsity letters in volleyball, one in tennis and one in basketball 
  • She was ranked at No. 88 in the PrepVolleyball.com's "Senior Aces" list and earned Under Armour First Team All-America honors as a senior
  • Named all-state first team in 2014 and '15
  • Earned all-league honors 2012-15
  • Named Regional Player of the Year in her junior and senior seasons
  • Helped lead the Ground Tigers to the 2014 4A state tournament for the first time in 25 years as her team finished in third place.
  • Also a member of the 2014 U.S. Girls' Youth National Volleyball Team as well as the USA Girls' A1 Team in 2012 and 2013.
  • Was a scholar-athlete at Battle Ground HS all four years and was vice-president of th ASB club and she was secretary in the Interact Club
  • was a member of the USA Girls Youth Junior Naitonal Team  (2014) and the USA High Performance A1 Select Team (2012, '13)
  • In beach volleyball, was a member of the USA High Performance A2 team from 2012-'14
    • Won several Seaside Beach tournaments--Women's AA First Place (2014); Women's A First Place (2013); Girl's 14's First Place (out of 120 teams) (2012)

  • Born in Hilo, Hawai‘i.
  • Majoring in economics.
  • Has one older brother.
  • Father Gary played for the UH men's volleyball team from 1988-90.
  • Mother, Lisa (Bragado)  played collegiate volleyball at Hawai'i Pacific and professionally indoors in Argentina and later played sand volleyball.
  • Aunt Danalee (Bragado) Corso played on the AVP beach tour.
  • Parents are Gary and Lisa Van Sickle.
