Biography

2023 (Junior)
  • A second-team all-Big West selection with partner Jaime Santer. 
  • Finished the season 26-8 overall while playing at flights 2 through 5.
  • Competed the majority of matches at the No. 3 and 4 flights where she went 23-6.
  • Played the first nine matches of the year with Sophie Buschmann, going 5-4.
  • Paired with Jaime Santer the rest of the season, going 21-4. 
  • The pair won their first 13 matches together and 15 of their first 16 
  • During that stretch, won 27 straight sets for the third-longest set streak in program history
  • With Santer, tallied the school’s seventh-best win percentage in a single-season (.840, 21-4).
  • Were nearly unbeatable at the No. 4 flight, going 12-1
  • Went 11-3 against ranked opponents with Santer, including wins over pairs from UCLA, Florida International, Cal, Long Beach State and Washington.
  • Leaves UH ranked tied for eighth all-time in dual match wins (77).

2022 (Sophomore)
  • All-Big West honorable mention with partner Riley Wagoner.
  • Went 25-14 on the season, including 15-7 with Wagoner.
  • The 25 individual wins was the fourth most by a UH player on the year.
  • Played all but one of her matches at the No. 4 (10-5) and No. 5 spots (14-9). 
  • Enjoyed a season-long 10-match win streak with Wagoner, highlighted by wins over No. 6 LMU, No. 7 Grand Canyon and No. 14 Cal Poly. 
  • Started the season paired with Sara Penner, going 10-6.
  • Also partnered once with Megan Widener. 
  • Registered 10 wins overall against ranked squads. 

2021 (Freshman)
  • Appeared in all 27 matches.
  • Went 18-9 overall while playing at the No. 3 and No. 4 flights.
  • Named All-Big West first team with partner Kaylee Glagau.
  • The duo played primarily at the No. 4 flight where they went 14-4.
  • Earned AVCA Top Flight Award with Glagau for winning 78 percent of their matches at the No. 4 court.
  • Provided the clinching point in UH’s win over Long Beach State in the Big West Tournament.
  • Also teamed up with Jaime Santer in the first four matches of the season.
  • Went 2-2 at the No. 3 flight with Santer.
  • Named academic all-Big West.

2020 
  • Played in all nine matches with fellow freshman Hanna Hellvig.
  • The pair went a team-best 8-1 overall.
  • Went 6-1 at the No. 4 flight and 2-0 at the No. 5 flight.
  • All but one of the wins came in straight sets.
  • Only loss of the year came against Kelli Agnew and Taryn Kloth of No. 3 LSU.
  • Registered six wins over ranked squads including a win over Devon Newberry and Megan Muret of top-ranked UCLA in the opening match of the season.
  • Ended the year on a team-best six-match win streak with 11 straight sets won.
  • Earned UH Scholar-Athlete Award.

Prep
  • A 2019 graduate of El Camino High School in Oceanside, Calif.
  • Competed for 629 West BVB for nine years.
  • Named to the AVCA Beach All-America first team following her senior year.
  • Captured top finishes at numerous tournaments including first at the CBVA tournament, first at the BVCA National Championship, and went undefeated at the AVPFirst.
  • Finished third at the AAU Nationals and fourth in USAV nationals.
  • Lettered four years in indoor volleyball at El Camino.
  • A three-time MVP.
  • Holds six school records including most kills in a career, season, and match; most digs in a season and match; and most aces in a match.
  • Led her team in to a runner-up finish in the Division II CIF Championships.
  • Named San Diego HSSA Student Athlete of the Year.

  • Born in Honolulu, O‘ahu.
  • Nickname is “Kuku”
  • Majoring in Hawaiian Studies Malama 'Aina.
  • Has two sisters, one older and one younger.
  • Older sister, Hi’ilawe played for the UH beach volleyball team (2015-19).
  • Parents are Kimo and Stephanie Huddleston of Oceanside, Calif.
