Biography

2021:

  • Played in 11 games with 10 starts.
  • Passed for 2,793 yards and 17 touchdowns. 
  • Also rushed for 343 yards and three touchdowns. 
  • Led the Mountain West and finished 10th nationally in yards per completion (14.3).
  • Ranked fifth in total offense in the Mountain West (285.1 ypg).
  • Tallied four games with 300 or more yards passing. 
  • Had a season high 406 passing yards and 440 total yards ,while throwing for three touchdowns in a home win against Colorado State.
  • HIs 93-yard pass play to Zion Bowens against the Rams was tied for the second-longest in school history.

  • Averaged 231.4 passing yards per game while completing 62.3% of his passes.
  • Led the team in rushing yards (483) and touchdowns (7).
  • Became the first UH quarterback to lead the team in rushing since Michael Carter in 1991.
  • Ran for a career-best 116 yards and two touchdowns in UH’s season-opening win at Fresno State.

  • Threw from 907 yards on 57.5 percent passing on the season.
  • Tossed eight touchdowns to three interceptions.
  • Also rushed for 212 yards and three touchdowns. 
  • Started games versus San Jose State, UNLV and Army, all UH wins.
  • Also came off the bench to help direct UH to wins over Arizona and San Diego State. 
  • Threw for a career-high 309 yards on 23-of-31 passing and rushed for a career-high 55 yards in a win over San Jose State.
  • Earned MW Offensive Player of the Week honors for his performance vs the Spartans.
  • Also gained recognition as one of the Manning Award Stars of the Week.
  • In UH’s season-opener vs. Arizona, entered the game with the score tied at 35 and directed two scoring drives for a 45-38 victory.
  • Led UH on a 96-yard touchdown drive that proved to be the game-winner in the team’s 14-11 victory win over San Diego State that clinched the MW West Division title.
  • Also came off the bench to direct UH to two touchdowns in a fourth-quarter rally vs. Fresno State.
2019 Game-by-Game Statistics

2018 (Redshirt):

  • Appeared in four games with one start.
  • Threw for 384 passing yards and six touchdowns on the season while completing 61.9 percent (30-of-49) of his passes.
  • Led UH to come-from-behind wins versus Wyoming and UNLV.
  • Made his first career start against Wyoming finishing with 148 yards and two touchdowns in a 17-13 win.
  • Threw both touchdowns in the second half, including the go-ahead 38-yard pass to JoJo Ward with 1:26 left in the game.
  • Came off the bench versus UNLV to engineer a UH comeback with 153 yards and three touchdowns on four completions.
  • All three touchdowns came in the fourth quarter, the last of which was a 68-yarder to John Ursua with 1:25 left to put UH ahead.

  • Named Gatorade Hawai‘i Football Player of the Year and Honolulu Star-Advertiser all-state and Offensive Player of the Year.
  • Threw for 3,130 yards on 195-of-289 passing (67.4%) and 29 TDs and only 8 interceptions.
  • Averaged 10.8 yards per attempt with a 186.02 quarterback rating.
  • Also rushed for 456 yards with 10 TDs.
  • Threw for 440 yards and three TDs and rushed for 66 yards on 20 carries in the state championship game versus Kahuku.
  • Accounted for 632 yards of total offense in state semifinal win over Mililani, including  528 yards passing (24-of-29) and 5 TDs and 104 yards rushing and 1 TD.
