How many people are using or monitoring this group?

Well I definitely DID and still DO receive the emails from the group . . . but my not being on the BK Google Group is not any indication of a problem with or unsuitability of the Google Group . . . it's rather just that I've become a passive lurker . . .

I'm in a few other Google Groups, and find them ideal . . . easy to send an email to the whole roster; easy to receive an email from anyone it the group; easy to track or keep copies of conversations; easy to post announcements, which can be arranged to be "sticky," that is, always on the top of the page, for example instructions or rules . . .

So since I am paying dues but not being very active, I guess anything I say qualifies as "do as I say and nt as I do.  But anyway, as we go forward with a new group structure and polity, I would recommend keeping this Google Group, hoping that at some future time when the club is more (re)vital(ized), it will serve the club well, when the club is more active . . .

I can see though that the club is kind of an older demographic who may not be fluent with a lot of online things . . .  but I was in a club like that (a Letter To The Editor writing club), and even though the workings of the Google group can be complex for some, I found that the simplicity of sending and receiving emails, as opposed logging on to a blog or website, was easy and was appreciated by the older, less computer-literate members, and they used it a lot.  So as long as members are set up to receive a copy of whatever is sent to the group address, then it can be really easy, even for newbies.  --  But then maybe Facebook lets you do everything too, from notices to storing files.  Google Groups in your inbox seems simple though . . .  Miss you, hope you are well . . .
