Biography

2019-20 (JUNIOR): Posted ten top-10 finishes, while focusing primarily on the 50 and 100 Freestyle events...Took first in the 50 Free (21.62) and second in the 100 Free (47.93) against UC Santa Cruz...Grabbed three top-20 finishes at the WAC Championship meet, placing 18th in the 100 Breast (57.15), 19th in the 50 Free (20.54) and 18th in the 100 Free (45.26)...Set a personal best in the 50 Free with a 20.43 in a time trial following the conference meet...Swam the 50 Free at the Toyota US Open...Placed 16th in the 50 Free at the National Invitational Championship with a 20.50. 
 
2018-19 (SOPHOMORE): Swam the anchor leg on CSUB's 200 medley relay team that recorded the third-fastest time in school history (1:28.90) and finished eighth at the NIC...swam the third leg of CSUB's 200 free relay that finished with the second-fastest time in school history (1:20.64) and finished fifth at the WAC Championships...swam the second leg of CSUB's 400 free relay team that finished with the fourth-fastest time in school history and finished eighth at the NIC...had eighth top-five individual finishes on the season...finished 17th at the WAC Championships in the 100 free (45.05)...finished runner-up in the 50 free against UNLC (21.40). 

2017-18 (FRESHMAN): Competed primarily in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 100 breaststroke, and 200 breaststroke…finished 18th overall in the 100 breaststroke (57.12) and 200 breaststroke (2:07.05)...competed in the 50 free at the WAC Championship (20.90), finished 25th...earned Academic All-WAC honors.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2017 graduate of Buchanan High School...coached by Dave Pickford…named Team MVP as a sophomore and junior and team captain as a junior…broke school 100 breast, 200 medley relay, and 200 free relay records in 2016…
 
PERSONAL: Born Jan. 26, 1999...son of Sean and Christie Hickman…criminal justice major…Father, Sean, played water polo at Fresno State.
