Biography

2023: Grew his PC legend even further by accumulating 118 tackles (70 solo, 48 assisted) on his way to an All-PFL First Team selection and the second-most stops in a single year across the school's entire Division I affiliation...Scooted into fifth place all-time among Blue Hose players in total tackles with only three years completed (272), gathering nine TFL's and 2.5 sacks as a junior...Was chosen by the conference as the PFL Defensive Player of the Week on October 22, the shining star of a unit that did not allow Marist to score an offensive touchdown in the entire 60-minute window partly due to his 16 tackles that tied a career-high...It took only seven days later for Herriott to again publish a 16-stop effort (his third in a PC jersey) during a visit to Davidson (10/28), one of seven performances on the year with a minimum of 10 tackles...Posted a team-high in tackles against eight different adversaries while hitting at least six in every contest, beginning PFL play with a six-game streak of 10 or better that added up to 80 stops in that sequence alone...Lined up a pair of tackles behind the line of scrimmage against Virginia-Lynchburg (9/9) and Dayton (10/14), going for his third sack of the campaign in the finale versus Morehead State (11/18) that ended in a four-point Blue Hose victory...Forced a fumble in PC's first conference battle at Bailey Memorial Stadium, turning over Stetson (10/7)...His 70 solo tackles ranked fifth at the FCS level, also landing in ninth nationwide for his 118 total tackles...Recorded a TFL on seven separate dates as he put together Presby's highest number of tackles for the third consecutive year...Capped off his remarkable season by gaining admission to the All-PFL Academic Second Team for his classroom efforts as a Business Management major.

2022: Firmly etched himself as one of the premier defensive players in the Pioneer Football League, leading the Blue Hose in tackles (93, 19 more than the second-place marker), a figure that tied for 4th in the conference...One of seven PC players to appear in all 11 games on the defensive side of the field, starting each of them...Named All-PFL Honorable Mention and Phil Steele postseason all-league 2nd team behind a team-leading four sacks, seven tackles for a loss, and 53 solo stops...Helped back up the opponent for 27 yards on his seven TFL's, pressuring the quarterback twice and tallying four pass breakups at the linebacker spot...Hit the double-digit threshold in tackles four times, highlighted by a career-high 16 (11 solo) against Valparaiso (10/8), the most by any Presbyterian player in a single game on the campaign, part of a three-game streak with four total stops for a loss...Added up for 27 tackles in the aforementioned bout with the Beacons and the following week at San Diego (10/15), a road matchup that saw Herriott force a fumble on a 10-yard sack in the second half...Recorded at least seven tackles against eight different opponents.

Fall 2021: Played in all 11 games with eight starts… totaled a team-high 61 tackles including eight tackles for loss to lead the Blue Hose defense… he added three sacks, three quarterback hurries and a pass breakup to his stat line… totaled a season-high nine tackles on two occasions against Dayton and San Diego in league play… added eight tackles in two games against Campbell and Valparaiso… had seven solo stops against Valpo… totaled seven tackles against Stetson and St. Thomas… he recorded a tackle in all 11 games… all three of his sacks came in league play against Morehead State, Stetson and Valparaiso… had games against Marist and Stetson with a pair of tackles for loss… had two quarterback hurries against Dayton… earned honorable mention in the PFL…

Before PC: During his junior season he led the low country in tackles with 132 at Hanahan High School… he totaled 77 tackles, two sacks and eight tackles for loss during his senior year… was first-team all-state honoree… earned second-team all low country… all-region honoree… was a two-year team captain… also a captain on the school's wrestling team… he chose to come to PC because when he visited it felt like this was the place he needed to be. It felt like home and they people were very nice and everyone seemed to love it… his family has been his biggest influence growing up because everything he does it is done for them and all he wants to do is make them proud and they motivate him everyday to be great… he intends to major in the business field…
