2020-21 Season Highlights:

• Started all 25 games he played, missing only the North Georgia contest.
• Averaged 9.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.7 steals in 31.0 minutes of playing time per game.
• Notched 10 double-figure scoring performances, headlined by a season-high 25 outburst at LSU.
• Among SEC statistical leaders, finished the season ranked No. 4 in steals (1.7 spp) and No. 16 in playing time (31.0 mpg).
• Provided the Bulldogs’ with some of their most thorough linescores throughout the season. Prime examples include Jacksonville (11 points, seven assists, six boards and four steals), Northeastern (seven points, seven boards, six assists and five steals) and Kentucky (seven points, five rebounds, five steals and three assists).
• Collected five steals against both Northeastern and Kentucky, equaling the most thefts by any Bulldog in a single game during 2020-21.
• Connected on a career-high six 3-pointers – also the most makes from behind the arc by any Bulldog on the year – at LSU en route to his season-high 25 points.
• Logged 41 MP in the overtime matchup in Baton Rouge, the single-game high for Georgia during the 2020-21 campaign.
• Scored a team-high 16 points against Missouri in an extremely efficient fashion, converting on 8-of-9 shot attempts (6-of-7 FGs and 2-of-2 FTs).
• With his 100th career 3-pointer against LSU in Athens became just the second active Division-I player with career totals of 1000 points, 500 rebounds, 250 assists, 150 steals and 100 3-pointers. Louisville’s Carlik Jones being the other.

George Mason Highlights:
• A three-year starter for the Patriots from 2016-19 before missing the majority of the 2019-20 season with a stress fracture in his right foot.
• All told, started 95 of 108 outings at George Mason, including 93 of 99 games played in his first three seasons.
• Scored 1,120 points (10.4 ppg) and grabbed 548 rebounds (5.1 rpg) during his career with the Patriots, while also recording 211 assists and 120 steals.
• Among George Mason’s career leaders, left ranked No. 27 in points (1,120), No. 18 in steals (120), No. 18 in free throw percentage (.771), No. 20 in boards (548).
• Posted 51 career double-figure scoring outputs, with nine 20-point performances, and notched 10 double-digit rebounding counts, which led to eight double-doubles.

2019-20 Season Highlights:
• Tabbed preseason second-team All-A10.
• Started two of nine games played, with his campaign delayed and then cut short by a right foot stress fracture.
• Missed the first six contests after suffering the stress fracture in September.
• Returned to action and played nine games before re-injuring his foot on Jan. 14 and undergoing surgery.
• Averaged 9.6 points and 3.6 rebounds in 22.6 minutes of action per game.
• Was perfect from the field – 6-of-6 FGs and 1-of-1 3FGs – en route to 13 points in just 16 minutes of action against New Mexico State in the Cayman Islands Classic championship on Nov. 27.
• Notched a team-high 14 points against American on Dec. 7.
• Scored a season-high 18 points in 39 minutes of action versus La Salle on Jan. 11, his final outing of the campaign.
• Re-injured his foot in practice on Jan. 14 and underwent surgery on Jan. 17.
• After starting 12-4, George Mason was just 5-11 after Kier’s season ended.

2018-19 Season Highlights:
• Started 31 of 33 games played and averaged a team-high 14.5 points per game for the Patriots, as well as 6.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.6 steals.
• Named the Atlantic 10’s Most Improved Player and second-team All-A10.
• Tabbed second-team All-District by the NABC.
• One of only 11 players in the nation to average more than 14.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game during the 2018-19 season.
• Posted 26 double-figure scoring outputs, with seven 20-point performances and a career-high 32 points versus Vermont.
• Connected on 12-of-15 fields goals, including 2-of-4 3-pointers, and 6-of-6 free throws en route to his output against the Catamounts on Dec. 3.
• Recorded seven double-digit rebound tallies and seven double-doubles.
• Led the Patriots offensively in 11 games in on the boards in 13 outings.
• Notched consecutive double-doubles in December outings against James Madison (16 points and 11 rebounds) and Navy (12 points and 10 boards).
• Selected as the back-to-back A-10 Player of the Week on Jan. 14 and Jan. 21.
• Earned his first POTW honor after averaging a double-double of 17.5 points and 10.5 rebounds in victories over Davidson and Rhode Island.
• Followed that by averaging 20.0 points (on 57.7 FG shooting) and 9.0 boards in wins over UMass and Fordham.
• Scored 26 points against George Washington in the A-10 Tournament on March 14, the most points ever by a Patriot in A-10 Tourney action.
• Became George Mason’s 38th career 1,000-point scorer during the victory over the Colonials.
•  Wrapped up the season with the first back-to-back 20-point outings of his career.

2017-18 Season Highlights:
• Started all 33 games and contributed 11.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and a team-best 1.3 steals in 33.2 minutes of playing time per game.
• Ranked among the Patriots’ top-3 producers in eight different categories.
• Began the season averaging 15.3 points per game while shooting 57.7 percent from the field in the first three contests.
• Produced his first 20-point performance (22 points) against Morgan State on Dec. 22.
• Recorded his first career double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds against Saint Joseph’s on Jan. 10.
• Scored 27 points in 45 minutes of double-OT action at Duquesne on Jan. 20.

2016-17 Season Highlights:
• Started 29 of 33 games played and contributed 5.8 points and 4.5 rebounds in 27.7 minutes of average playing time.
• Helped the Patriots to a 20-15 finish, including a postseason bid to the CBI.
• Posted his first double-figure statistical outputs in back-to-back days at the Emerald Coast Classic, 10 points against Kent State on Nov. 22 and 10 rebounds versus Bradley on Nov. 23.
• Was 6-of-6 at the line in the final minutes of a Nov. 30 road win at Northern Iowa.

High School Highlights:
• Coached by Chad Edwards at Spotswood.
• Helped SHS to a combined 108-10 record and two state runner-up finishes.
• Among Spotswood’s career leaders, ranked No. 2 in points (1,728), No. 5 in rebounds (518), No. 3 in 3-pointers (147) and No. 4 in assists (386).
• Named first-team All-State as a junior and senior and second-team as a sophomore.

Personal:
• Born May 30, 1998, Justin is the son of Keley Kier and the grandson of Evelyn Kier.
• Received his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from George Mason and is pursuing a second bachelor’s in Housing Management & Policy at UGA.
• Vincent J. and Barbara Dooley Men’s Basketball Scholarship recipient for 2020-21.
• Has an extremely close relationship with his grandmother. His mother suffered a heart attack when Justin was seven. She is paralyzed from the neck down and cannot speak; She lives with Justin and his grandmother.
• Justin’s greater-Harrisonburg community is extremely supportive and organized a bus trip up to a George Mason game each season with the Patriots.
