The SDG Publishers Compact on Frankfurt Rights

This badge on rights portals and title pages highlights Frankfurt Rights members who are also signatories of the SDG Publishers Compact.

The SDG Publishers Compact, developed by the United Nations and the International Publishers Associtation, features 10 action points that publishers, publishing associations and others can commit to undertaking in order to accelerate progress to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.

Signatories aspire to develop sustainable practices and act as champions of the SDGs, publishing books and journals that will help inform, develop, and inspire action.

Action point 2 refers to the commitment signatories have to actively promote and acquire content that advocates for themes represented by the SDGs, such as equality, sustainability, justice and safeguarding and strengthening the environment.

Launched in October 2020, the compact has already attracted more than 200 signatories.
