Placemaking Largo
Hello there! The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, in partnership with Better Block, is hosting a week-long transformation of a portion of the Largo community in August 2022, and we want to hear from YOU!

The goal is to re-envision and reimagine a segment of businesses/green space along McCormick Drive in a 2-day, community-led placemaking event that will help residents get creative with their neighborhood space. Using this survey to guide the design, some potential changes could include the arts, greenery and landscaping, shade, small business support, and opportunities for community gathering in what are now parking lots or parking spaces. This trial will help create a safe, welcoming neighborhood space for all ages and backgrounds and will incorporate the current residents' vision. Additionally, we hope to test some ideas and get feedback that will be incorporated into the long-term vision, by the people, with the people.

Please fill out the survey below and share with anyone else you think may be interested. Your opinion matters and will directly shape the direction of the project! Survey closes May 27, 2022. Please reach out with any questions to Krista Nightengale, krista@betterblock.org.
