Room Parents are a big part of the success of our children in the classroom and beyond!
The role of the Room Parent is to assist their child’s teacher in many ways including:
- Building a sense of community by keeping families connected
- Keeping parents informed of activities and encouraging their participation
- Ensuring that all children enjoy and benefit from the classroom activities and special programs
Remember, you don’t have to do this alone!
Multiple parents can share the responsibilities of: collecting parent emails and sending weekly or biweekly information about the classroom, school and PTA activities; organizing holiday parties; helping in art/science projects as needed; chaperoning a field trip; and if you’re feeling creative, decorate the classroom door!
