Undergraduate Biology or Neuroscience Research Funding Application
This application is for undergraduate students doing neuroscience research at Emory who have financial need that affects participation in unpaid research experiences. The goal of this award is to increase participation in research-for-credit classes by decreasing barriers to participation for students with high financial need. Funding will be awarded as a stipend each semester for up to $2500. Although applications for all NBB or Bio research classes are accepted, we will prioritize funding students in the honors program (NBB495 or Bio495).

Successful applicants should:
1. have the support of a faculty research mentor to participate in research in biology or neuroscience
2. plan to enroll in a research for credit class (like NBB499, BIOL499, or honors)
3. have financial need
4. complete this application by Aug 15 for Fall 2022 Semester support.

*While the application is open to any undergraduate doing biology or neuroscience research with financial need, we are particularly enthusiastic about supporting students who have limited resources/options for other support like undocumented students or students from families of mixed immigration status.*

*Information submitted in this application will be held in strict confidence among the selection committee, but we will also verify your plans and share your essays with your research mentor and in some cases additional potential funders like the Chairs of Emory Departments (committee: Drs. Deal, Roesch, and Jaeger.)*

Pre-application inquiries can be sent to Dr. Roesch or Dr. Jaeger by email.
