VEX IQ Challenge 2021-22 Pitching In
We are forming teams to represent Vintage Magnet Robotics for next year's competitions.  If your child will be in fourth or fifth grade, we invite parents to a mandatory Zoom meeting to learn about the VEX IQ Challenge, expectations and commitments required of each parent and student, how teams are organized and the roles and responsibilities of team members.  This school year, 2020-21 students learned how to program.  This is one component of the competitions.

Because we were not in person this year, our next year's fifth graders did not have the opportunity to build or create a Robot.  Mr. Nolasco, our Robotics Teacher, will need to spend extra time focused on teaching students how to build.  We have high expectations for our teams.  In the 2019-20 school year all five of our teams went to the State Competitions and one team qualified for the World's Tournament, but sadly was not able to attend because of its cancellation during the pandemic.  In 2018-19 school year, we had two teams who went to the World's Tournament and won the Inspire Award.  In our first year in 2017-18, we had one team compete in the World's Tournament and won the Build Award.  We hope to continue this success for the 2021-22 school year.  Please sign up below if you will attend our informational meeting.

The meeting is scheduled via Zoom on June 10, 2021 at 6:00 P.M.
