SPRING 2023 Highland HS - Corn Hole Tournament

This is an on campus tournament taking place during 5th period lunch (Staff, Juniors & Seniors ONLY).

This tournament is FREE to sign up.

This tournament will take place on these dates

Seeding Day - Tuesday, April 18, 2023 5th period Lunch at Athletic Office.

Round of 16 matches - Week of April 24 to April 28, 2023

Quarterfinal matches - Week of May 1 to May 5, 2023

Semifinal matches - Days of May 9 & May 10, 2023

Final Match - May 12, 2023

NOTE-All games can possibly change due to circumstances that are allowed.


RULES:

1.1 - TEAMS - Two person teams

1.2 - First to sign up until all 16 teams are filled

1.3 - you cannot sub a player if absent you will just have to play down a player 

1.4 - Deadline for sign ups are Friday, 4-14-23 at the end of 5th period Lunch.

1.5 - Seeding of matches will occur on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 5th period Lunch at Athletic Office.

1.5.1 - If you don’t show up with your partner for the seeding tosses, the tiebreaker will go to who signed up the earliest.

1.8 - A Team will forfeit their match if at least one player on that team is not at the Corn Hole Board Location (East of the 8 Building) within 10 minutes of the 5th period lunch bell.

2.1 - SCORING - Addition 

2.2 - First to 21 

2.3 - After a series of throws between each team, each team will keep the total points on the board. Example - Team A has 2 on the board and Team B has 1 on the board. Team A would be up 2-1.

2.4 - If a bag is on the board, it  is 1 point 

2.5 - If a bag makes it in the hole, it is 3 points 

2.6 - A bag cannot skip off  the floor onto board 

3.1 - TOSSES - until winner 

3.2 - A coin flip will decide who goes 1st, the team on the top of the bracket will decide heads or tails 

3.3 - Each team gets a series of 4 tosses, alternating with the opposing team. 

3.4 - Player 1 will be on the same side of opposing team player 1. Same for the Player 2’s.

3.5 - No over-hand tosses, all tosses must be under hand 

3.6 - Players must be behind board when tossing the bag

4.1 - REPORTING SCORES - To Officials

4.2 - Single Elimination Tournament.

4.3 - After each series of tosses the teams call out their points and verifies with official 

4.4 - The winning team must inform the official of the final score
