How the Home Hospital Model Improves Value during COVID-19 and Beyond

Wednesday, September 23, 2020 4:00:00 PM Coordinated Universal Time - 5:30:00 PM Coordinated Universal Time

Concern about COVID-19 spread is prompting hospitals to reconsider where and how they provide care to patients, and many are recognizing that the home may be the safest option. The Hospital at Home model is a promising approach to improve value by making acute hospital-level care available to patients in their homes, rather than in a hospital setting.

In this webinar from AHA’s The Value Initiative, presenters from Brigham and Women’s Hospital and University of Utah Health will share the evidence of hospital at home’s effectiveness, and how their hospitals have implemented it before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. They also will discuss how to extend Hospital at Home care into the rural setting.
