Biography

Career: Finished her career with 1,385 points, ninth in ECU history… 17.1 points per game, tied for fifth in program history… 228 career steals, sixth in ECU history… 79.0 career free throw percentage, third in ECU history… Scored 30-plus points seven times in her career, tied for fourth in ECU history… One of four players in ECU history with 1,000 points, 200 rebounds and 200 steals… Is one of two players in AAC history to win two Defensive Player of the Year awards (Lashonda Monk)… First ECU player to earn consecutive First-Team All-Conference honors since Jada Payne in 2015 and 2016.
 
2023-24 as a Graduate Student: Appeared in 33 games with 31 starts… Recorded 684 points, 107 rebounds, 75 assists, 23 blocks and 107 steals… Shot .783 from the foul line on 184 attempts… 684 points was second most in ECU history… Fourth individual to score 600 points in a season and the fifth such season… 1,259 points across two seasons was the most by an ECU player since Rosie Thompson’s 1,308 in 1977-78 and 1978-79… 107 steals were the fifth most in ECU history and made McNeal the fourth individual with 100 in a season… Scored 20-plus points 17 times… Scored 30-plus points five times… Third most 30-point games in a season behind Rosie Thompson (7 in 1978-79) and Mary Denkler-Schoof (6 in 1982-83)… Recorded multiple steals in 27 games… Recorded five-plus steals in seven games… Scored a career-high 35 points vs. SMU (1/20), 10th most in a game in ECU history… Also made 15-15 free throws in the SMU game, an ECU record… Had 20 points, eight rebound and six assists vs. Charlotte (2/10)… Snagged 10 assists vs. Tulsa in the AAC Quarterfinal… 10 steals was second most in a game in ECU history and an AAC Tournament single-game record… 29 point scored vs. Tulsa was the most ever by an ECU player with 10 steals in a game… From Feb. 4 to March 5, McNeal scored 20-plus points in nine-straight games, an ECU record… Finished the season in the top 10 in the NCAA in total steals (sixth) and steals per game (ninth)… Finished 18th in the NCAA in points per game and seventh in total points (entering the NCAA Tournament)… Named AAC Player of the Week twice and was named to the honor roll several more… Unanimous First-Team All-Conference selection… Won a second-consecutive AAC Defensive Player of the Year Award… Named to the AAC All-Tournament squad.

2022-23 as a Senior: Started all 33 games and led the team with 31.7 minutes per game... Scored over twenty points 10 times during conference play while averaging 17.4 points per game on the season... Bested her career high several times while breaking the 30-point barrier twice with 30 against Cincinnati (2/15) and 34 against Houston (2/22)... Became the 10th individual in program history to hit six-or-more threes in a game against Tulane (1/8)... Recorded the fifth-most steals in program history and seventh most points while shooting the fourth-best free throw percentage in program history... Eighth in the NCAA with 97 steals on the season... Three-time AAC Player of the Week and five-time Honor Roll... Named First-Team All Conference, AAC Defensive Player of the Year and Most Improved Player... Led the team with 13 points in the NCAA Tournament game against Texas... Named Female Athlete of the Year at the 2023 Goldsbys.

2021-22 as a Junior: Appeared in 15 games, starting nine... Averaged 8.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game... Scored a career-high 23 points on Nov. 15 against Gardner-Webb... Recorded six takeaways on Dec. 1 against VCU... Recorded multiple blocks twice on the season, against South Florida (2/27) and Memphis (3/7).

2020-21 (at Clemson): Appeared in 11 games, averaging 4.4 points and 1.5 rebounds in 8.1 minutes…Scored a career-high 11 points against Virginia (12/10)…Turned in seven points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal against College of Charleston (12/6).
 
2019-20 (at Clemson): Appeared in 22 games…Averaged 2.6 points and 1.0 rebounds in 7.8 minutes…Scored seven points against Furman in her collegiate debut (11/6)…Scored a career-high nine points against North Carolina (2/2) in just four minutes of action…Had multiple steals against Furman and Miami (2/16)…Pulled down three rebounds on three occasions…Named to the AAC Academic Honor Roll.
