Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am an Inclusion Special Education Teacher and work with kindergarten through third-grade students. I provide academic services in the general education classroom and a resource room in an urban district. I am working towards providing a welcoming classroom that supports the needs of my diverse learners.
My students are visual learners and enjoy using multi-sensory materials to access their academics.
I have selected manipulatives that will engage them in learning to read and write and engage them in mathematics. My students learn best when visually and sensory stimulated, and these materials will help to create this environment. The materials I have selected will ensure that my students can access the grade-level curriculum and keep them focused on the work.
