DATE:  July 18, 2024
TIME: 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
LOCATION:  WKEC Conference Center

TARGET AUDIENCE:  Special Education Teachers, Related Service Providers (SLP, PT, OT, etc.), Directors of Special Education, ARC Chairpersons.  To get the most benefit from this training, we encourage you to attend as collaborative groups within your school or district.  Ex) special education teacher/SLP, special education teacher/OT, special education teacher/PT, etc.

SESSION DESCRIPTION:
Collaborative goal-writing requires a shift in how an IEP team works together, starting with upfront planning. While this may take more time initially, it ultimately makes the entire team’s work more efficient.
Making this shift is well worth it because it enables more consistent support to help students achieve their academic and functional goals.

Learn how to work as a team to create student-centered goals and define how each team member will help the student achieve those goals.

There will be a focus on ensuring that collaborative goals are Neurodiversity-Affirming in nature,  respecting and acknowledging the diverse ways in which people think, learn, and communicate.

working lunch provided at no charge

Approved for EILA, SLP, PT, OT CEU-(5.5 hours)
