Vice President: Joshua Strate
Bio: Dr. Joshua Strate attended Florida Atlantic University and obtained an Ed. D. in Curriculum and Instruction specializing in Biological Sciences. He studied the impact science education had on both middle-grade science students and their retention of content. He paid for most of my education by working part-time at Home Depot and full-time as a K-12 educator in Southern Florida. After graduation, he worked as a middle-grade educator in Florida, and an Environmental educator in Central Florida, transitioned to online teaching globally in 2012, and created a Saturday Science program for inner-city students to enjoy science on the weekends. It is the love of science and the focus on the improvement of assessment strategies and education quality for students and stakeholders that have driven my passion for academics. Currently, Joshua strives to balance working as a K-12 online educator and a Post-secondary Educator, both of which are passions of his.
Secretary: Ingrid Stahlman
Bio: I began in healthcare at a young age. My mother was also a nurse and through my childhood was the director of nursing at our local nursing home as well as a hospice nurse. This helped to foster my love in caring for others. As I turned 14, I began as a CNA and quickly moved to being a CMA, HHA. Nursing school started at the age of 19 where I worked through LPN and then RN school while working as an HHA in hospice, a CNA in a nursing home as well as a CNA in a critical access rural hospital. Upon graduating with my RN, I started at a level 1 trauma center in my hometown where I worked in the ortho/trauma, critical care, mother/baby and NICU, inpatient and outpatient wound care units over the 11 years at that facility. I moved into home health where I case managed patients from newborn through the aged. After three years in that position, I moved into a manager position where I currently am. It was while in this position that I decided to pursue my advanced degrees beginning with my BSN and finally my MSN. In addition to that, I am also Certified as an OASIS Specialist-Clinical (COS-C) as well as a Certified Wound Treatment Associate (WTA-C).
