High School/Group Campus Visits
High school/group campus visits at the College of Engineering and Polymer Science, The University of Akron are designed for students who would like a closer and more individualized look at the fields of study in engineering, engineering technology, computing and polymers.

Your visit will include an overview of the college, campus tour, program tours, student panel and lunch.

THE FINE PRINT: Tours are intended for students in 10th grade or higher. The times available for group visits typically begin at 9:00 a.m. on selected days. We will schedule group visits on a first-come, first-served basis. While we will work to comply with your requests, some dates (i.e. finals week, spring break, holidays, dates already scheduled with other group visits, etc.) may be unavailable for visits. Please be sure to list any special accommodations needed for your visit on the form below. Parking details for your group visit will be provided upon registration. One week before your visit, we ask that you provide a firm confirmation of the number of students attending. Please be sure to provide one chaperone per 14 students. The University of Akron will expect that your group leader(s) will have all necessary emergency contact information for the group's participants, should any such information be necessary while on campus. If you plan to have lunch on campus, we offer a dining option at Rob's Café (buffet style dining) for $10.25 per person. Lunch money from each person should be collected ahead of time so that you can make one payment for your entire group when you arrive at Rob's. *

  • We welcome your students with their families to participate in any of our Alumni Panel events from 6pm to 7pm on Oct. 20 and Nov. 17 (Thursday) through Zoom Webinar.  

  • We will reserve spots for your students and their families to participate in our special visit day to explore biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, corrosion engineering and polymer science & polymer engineering from 12:30pm to 4:30pm on Dec. 9th (Friday) at UA.
