JCUMC Kids Hope USA Interest Form
One Child. One Mentor. One Hour. One School Year.

Kids Hope USA is a national organization that partners churches with schools to offer a chance to build relationships via mentoring. Johns Creek UMC is excited to announce our partnership with Shakerag Elementary through Kids Hope USA. There are a number of ways in which you can be involved with this ministry.

As a mentor, you are asked to go through a screening and training process. Once you're approved, we will match you with one student. You're asked to give one hour of your time a week to meet with your student. You're asked to commit to one school year.

As a prayer partner, you will either be asked by a mentor or assigned by the director a mentor/student pair for which to be in prayer. As a prayer partner, you will also go through a training. Your primary responsibility is to keep in touch with the mentor about how things are going and how you might be able to pray and support them. Prayer Partners are an essential part of the mentoring process. You'll go through a training as well. You're asked to commit to the one mentor/student pair for the school year. You can also serve as a mentor if you'd like.

For more information about the ministry, being a mentor, and prayer partners, contact Rev. Brittany Sanders, JCUMC's Kids Hope USA Church Director.
