First Team All-Big 12 … one of four finalists for the Rotary Lombardi Award … First Team Academic All-Big 12 … started all 11 games played … second on the team in tackles (73) and 10^th in the Big 12 in tackles per game (6.64) … tied for second on the team with 12.0 TFL and posted 3.0 sacks … had a season-high 11 tackles, 1.5 TFL and two QB hurries vs. UNI … posted seven tackles, 2.0 TFL and a sack at UNLV … had nine tackles at Kansas State … had two sacks, 3.0 TFL and six tackles at Oklahoma … posted six tackles, including two for a loss, vs. TCU … ended career with 49 career starts, tying for the most in school history … racked up 321 tackles, 41.0 TFL, 9.5 sacks, six interceptions and a forced fumble in his career … his 41.0 career TFL ranks second in school history.

Klein (2011) as the only two Cyclones to win Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year accolades … started all 12 games … had the most tackles in the Big 12 with 96 and ranked fourth in the league in tackles per game (8.0) … led the team in tackles in seven of 12 games, including five double-digit efforts … also led team in QB hurries (6) and interceptions (5), and had 10.5 TFL, tying for 11^th in the Big 12 … his five interceptions led the Big 12, tied for third nationally and tied for seventh on ISU’s season list … it was the most interceptions by a linebacker in ISU history, in the nation, and the second-most by a Big 12 linebacker in conference history … had 10 tackles and a game-saving interception late in the fourth quarter vs. TCU … in the win over Oklahoma, posted 11 tackles, 1.5 TFL and a sack … had 10 tackles and an interception vs. Oklahoma State … was instrumental in the Baylor win with 11 tackles, 1.5 TFL, two QB hurries and an interception in the end zone with under a minute left to seal the victory … was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week after the Baylor game … tallied a career-high 13 tackles and 1.5 TFL in the win at Texas … posted six tackles and picked off a pass vs. Oregon in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl.

Honorable Mention All-Big 12 … First Team Academic All-Big 12 … started all 13 games … third on the team and 17^th in the Big 12 in tackles with 77 … led team and was 16^th in the Big 12 in TFL with 9.5 … also had 3.5 sacks, a forced fumble and picked off first career pass vs. Oklahoma State … was credited with three pass breakups and three QB hurries … posted eight tackles and 3.5 TFL vs. UNI … tallied nine tackles and a TFL vs. ULM … had nine tackles and a forced fumble vs. West Virginia … registered 2.0 TFL and a sack vs. Texas Tech … led the Cyclones with eight tackles and had a sack vs. Notre Dame in the Camping World Bowl.

2018
Honorable Mention All-Big 12 … First Team Freshman All-American by the FWAA and The Athletic … one of the top rookie defenders nationally, ranking fourth on the team in tackles (75) while starting all 13 games … his 75 tackles was third nationally among “power 5” rookies and ties for seventh on ISU’s freshman record list … third on the team in TFL (9.0), the second-best freshman total nationally … had 1.5 sacks and a fumble recovery … was the first Cyclone true freshman to make a start in the season-opener since 2006, leading the team with 11 tackles vs. Iowa … had seven tackles vs. TCU … tallied first sack and five tackles vs. West Virginia … vs. Baylor, posted eight tackles and a sack … registered seven tackles and recovered a fumble for a touchdown vs. Kansas State to help the Cyclones overcome a 17-point fourth-quarter deficit … had seven tackles vs. Washington State in the Alamo Bowl.

High School
Three-star recruit by Rivals and 247Sports … ranked as the 55th-best outside linebacker by 247Sports … a top-40 player in Ohio by 247Sports and Rivals … three-year starter … first-team all-conference and all-district selection … most valuable defensive player as a senior … posted 53 tackles and 10 TFL in seven games … was second-team all-conference and the team’s top defensive back in junior season, leading team to an 8-3 record … tallied 82 tackles, 10 TFL and two interceptions …  two-time all-conference basketball player, averaging 16.6 points as a senior … coached by Jason Simonetti.

Born May 25, 2000 … son of Julie and Mike Rose … mechanical engineering major … grandfather, Chuck Lima, played football at Notre Dame from 1954-58 … brother, Jack, played baseball at Dayton … brother, Jay, played football at Hillsdale … made the honor roll every semester in high school and a member of the National Honor Society.
