Kohl’s Veterans Day Spotlight Collection
Our Veterans collection, which was brought to life by Kohl’s Diversity Design Council (DDC), leans into the colors, motifs and sentiments special to our military forces beyond the American flag, including camouflage, poppies and more. The collection includes tops, leggings and joggers, plush throws and tote bags and more that can be enjoyed by those directly connected to the military, as well as those who simply want to show their appreciation.
This year, we invited our associates who have served in the military to participate in our photo shoot for the Sonoma Community Veterans Day collection. When asked, Kohl’s Quality Assurance Assistant Manager Michelle Calvillo accepted the challenge — and joined us along with her husband, who also served. Michelle comes from a large military family with relatives that span the Air Force, Army, Marines, and Navy. Investing in Our Heroes
Kohl's actively supports organizations that are focused on helping military, veterans and their families through a robust volunteer program that offers associates the opportunity to serve and give back to their communities. In honor of Veterans Day, we are proud to support our service people with a $100,000 donation to Operation Homefront, a nonprofit with a mission to build strong, stable, and secure military families so they can thrive — in the communities that they’ve worked so hard to protect.
Celebrating Together
To commemorate Veterans Day, our Veterans & Military Business Resource Group (VMBRG) is inviting associates to participate in the Milwaukee Veterans Day Parade, taking place on Saturday, November 5, and the San Antonio Veterans Day Parade, taking place on Saturday, November 12. The BRG will also participate in other experiences such as collaborating with Milwaukee Film to view a film focused on military service and serving in community volunteer events.
