The Stanley West Industrial Park has been recently certified as a shovel-ready site, according to a press release, and community members gathered at the site Wednesday to celebrate.
The industrial park is located along 345th Street on the Highway 29 corridor west of Stanley — giving it easy access by highway or rail — and spans over 100 acres.
Northside Elevator, the first business established in the industrial park, hosted the celebration along with representatives from the Chippewa Economic Development Corporation, the city of Stanley, Chippewa Valley Electric Cooperative, Chippewa Valley Technical College, Dairyland Power Cooperative, Momentum West Wisconsin, Stanley Area Chamber of Commerce and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
Chippewa Valley Electric Cooperative is providing power at the park, and CVEC president/CEO Russ Falkenberg said having the site certified as shovel-ready will help save time in the planning process for businesses interested in joining the industrial park.
