The web is a powerful place. Cliché, we know. But true nonetheless. Since no one can argue with kindness, we wanted to create a challenge that would harness that power and result in web apps for a good cause.

So join us. Build a web app that will make the world a better place. It can be an app that impacts the world or a local community. Goodness no matter the scope is good.

We don’t want to leave you hanging. We understand that sometimes coming up with the app idea is actually the hardest part.  So we’re sharing a few of our ideas (see the "Resources" tab). Use any or all of them. Or come up with your own. Apps will be judged on their merit – choosing one of our ideas will not help or hinder your chances of winning.

What will help is following the rules! Your app must include either a Telerik UI for Blazor, Kendo UI for Angular or KendoReact UI component (or more than one – we promise we won’t complain). And it must do or promote goodness.

We will select one winner per front-end framework. And we have bonus categories as well, giving you even more chances to win!

Requirements

What to Build
Build or modernize a web app that is designed in some way to make the world a better place using Telerik UI for Blazor, Kendo UI for Angular or KendoReact front-end components.

You can choose a bonus category to be considered for, as well.

What to Submit

  • Indicate which required and bonus components are used in your project.

  • Explain how your app is for a good cause.

  • Provide a URL to your code repository for judging and testing or a link to your functioning demo.

  • Include a video (about 3 minutes) that demonstrates your submission. Videos must be uploaded to YouTube, Vimeo, or Facebook Video and made public.

  • To be considered for a bonus prize, your video needs to include one of the following:

    • A screencapture of the tests being run (if you use Test Studio, Fiddler Everywhere or JustMock);

    • Video highlight of the tool implemented in your app (in the case of Reporting);

    • A description of your app modernization process (for the Best Modernization category);

    • Or the code repository link, video and description for the Best Mobile Support category.
