Building a Legacy Together

Women for Women brings together like-minded women who make “giving back” a part of their lives through compassion, knowledge, friendship and philanthropy.

By pooling and leveraging our resources, we are creating greater community impact by growing The Women’s Fund – a permanent endowment fund at the Community Foundation that has awarded more than $490,000 in grants to local organizations over the past 14 years. Grants are determined through a competitive process with members serving on the selection committee.

Women from all generations and backgrounds are welcome to join Women for Women and experience the power of community philanthropy.

The Women's Fund is an endowment fund at the Community Foundation that was established in 2006 by the Women for Women giving circle in order to create a permanent grantmaking resource for Sangamon County.

The purpose of The Women's Fund is to provide financial support to organizations that address pressing needs facing women and their families in Sangamon and surrounding counties. Special consideration is given to collaborative programs that speak to recommendation(s) outlined in the Sangamon Success report.

As a member of Women for Women, you’ll join a distinguished and accomplished group comprised of more than 100 women and learn first-hand about some of the most pressing issues facing women and their families in Sangamon and surrounding counties including Cass, Christian, Logan, Macoupin, Menard, Morgan, and Montgomery.

Membership is easy.

Simply complete the Reply Form and make an annual tax deductible contribution of $1,000 – 100% of which is directed to The Women's Fund. You may also make your contribution online. 

The required contribution is $1,000 per year. Membership is on a year-to-year basis. 

Annual contributions are due by December 31 each year, and new members are welcome at any time.
