Marin Alsop Conducts Beethoven's 9th Symphony

This June 30th, under the baton of world-renowned conductor Marin Alsop, the National Orchestral Institute + Festival Philharmonic with the Heritage Signature Chorale perform Beethoven’s iconic 9th Symphony, featuring poetry by Poet Laureate Tracy K. Smith. The orchestra will also perform Jennifer Higdon’s ethereal blue cathedral.

Gun Violence Prevention: Quilt Display and Noon Holy Eucharist
'wear orange' day
In recognition of National Gun Violence Awareness Day, on June 7 all may gather in the Garth prior to the Noon Eucharist for a display of quilts memorializing victims of gun violence. The eucharist will offer special prayers and liturgy, and a message will be offered by DC Chief of Police, Pamela A. Smith.
