Scolinos Field

Scolinos Field is home to the Cal Poly Pomona baseball team. The facility holds 500 fans and is located adjacent to Kellogg Stadium, the Track & Field and Soccer complex. The facility is named after Cal Poly Pomona coaching great John Scolinos, who led the Broncos to three national championships (1976, 1980, 1983) and 812 wins during his 30-year tenure as the head coach. The Scolinos Field name dedication took place on February 11, 1980, and since then, own an all-time record of 656-435-8 (.601) at home.

Before the 1980 season, the facility was called Kellogg Field. The original field dedication took place on February 16, 1968 in a scrimmage against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Al Campanis, the Vice President of the Dodgers, presented a dedicatory plaque to CPP President Robert Kramer and head coach John Scolinos.

Two numbers are retired on the outfield fence, #7 for John Scolinos, and #1 for current assistant coach Jimmy Ramos. Ramos will be entering his 41st season with the program in 2024.

During the Summer of 2019, Scolinos Field went through Phase II of a three-phase project to upgrade the facility.  Click HERE to see a video of before and after photos.
