LINCOLN PARK — The annual one-night Lincoln Park food festival has been broadened this year into a two-week, virtual celebration of the neighborhood’s restaurants.
Savor Lincoln Park will run from April 19 through May 2 and feature prix fixe to-go menus and take-home kits for virtual tasting demonstrations from Lincoln Park businesses.
Examples include the truffle BLT dinner for one to two people from The Fat Shallot, 2468 N. Clark St.; special taco dinners from Don Pez, 844 W. Armitage Ave.; or the at-home fondue experience from Geja’s, 340 W. Armitage Ave. Orders can be placed online.
Other participating restaurants include:
- Casati’s Modern Italian, 444 W. Fullerton Ave.;
- Firecakes Donuts, 2453 N. Clark St.;
- Nothing Bundt Cakes, 1953 N. Clybourn Ave.;
- Takito Street, 2423 N. Lincoln Ave.;
- Terry’s Toffee, 1009 W. Armitage Ave.;
- The Kismet Table, 2142 N. Halsted St.; and
- Vanille, 2108 N. Clark St.
Savor Lincoln Park will also feature an online silent auction for experiences and gift cards from local shops, restaurants and attractions, according to the Lincoln Park Chamber of Commerce.
Throughout the two weeks, the chamber will share profiles of local restaurant owners and chefs on its Instagram and Facebook pages.
“After an impossible year, Lincoln Park’s restaurant scene continues to thrive,” said Kim Schilf, president and CEO of the Lincoln Park chamber. “We want to celebrate not only the great food available in our neighborhood but also the people behind these restaurants and eateries that have invested in Lincoln Park and continue to innovate.”
