0.5k Oglebayfest Beer Dash

Safety is #1! We will be respecting all COVID-19 safety guidelines as outlined by the CDC and our local department of health.

Join us Oglebayfest weekend, Sunday October 3rd  for our first ever 0.5k Beer Dash!

And yes, you read that correctly. This is a zero-point-five kilometer (0.5k) event, a fun run around Schenk Lake.  Head out around the Schenk Lake 'course' and back; just try not to spill your beer, it's bad for the grass! Go whatever pace you like - no matter what there’s a beer waiting for you at the finish line!  The winners will be determined by a combination of their  time and by the amount left in their mug.

What’s included?! All participants receive:

• TWO (2) free beers 
• A souvenir Oglebay mug 
• Prizes: 1st through 3rd place for both man and women divisions. 
• Costume contest: Prize for most spirited/outfit that best represents our first ever Oglebayfest Fun Run.

Important details:

• Registration is 20$, and will begin at 8am at the Rathskeller, Hess Shelter.
• This is an open course, meaning the course will NOT be closed. 
• You must bring a valid ID or driver’s license. You do not need to be 21 to enjoy the event, but you must be 21 to enjoy the beer. Please drink responsibly. (Registered, underage participants will receive a  non-alcoholic beverage)
• We run rain or shine! Please dress appropriately for the weather.

The fun-run starts at 9am, registration will begin at 8am at the Rathskeller/Hess Shelter.  Plan to arrive about 30 minutes prior to check-in  Don’t forget to plan ahead so you can stick around and take in the greatness that is OGLEBAYFEST.
