Film Screening: Home From School: The Children of Carlisle
Film screening of “Home from School: The Children of Carlisle” (2021). A conversation will follow facilitated by Charlotte Kennedy. The documentary “Home From School: The Children of Carlisle” dives into the history of Carlisle Indian Industrial School in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, the first off-reservation government-funded boarding school for Native American children.

Weaving together Afghanistan's political history with personal experiences, Waheed Ahmad will provide a window into the continuity and change that defines Afghanistan. He will discuss recent occupations, Taliban control, and the post-9/11 democratic experiment, all overlaid with his own personal journey as a public servant.

The Libraries' newest exhibit, "Roads of Discovery: International Study Here and Abroad," traces both stories of international students studying at Binghamton and Binghamton students who have studied abroad.

At this event, members of the Onondaga Nation return to the Binghamton University Three Sisters Garden to celebrate the harvest. There will be a presentation on traditional Haudenosaunee foods and a corn-braiding demonstration.
