ARCO Music Co.

thoughtful listening, learning, and connections; we bring music to life.

We believe that music enhances our surroundings and relationships to shape any stage of this beautiful life.

Music has been a part of our lives since we were in the womb. It set us on our journey’s and ultimately, crossed our paths. We are all about celebrating every stage - from singing in the shower to gracing the stage at Carnegie Hall. And even though it may look pristinely paved, we’ve bumped our way through and are sharing our honest experience to help you get there faster.

In 2008 when we met in the CD line of a concert, we may not have believed our life would look like this. But it was love at first sight, and we’ve been writing the soundtrack to our fairytale ever since.

Emily Meyer, Founder and CEO

Emily Meyer is a serial creative who has been influenced by the power of music since in diapers. A native of Oberlin Ohio, Emily began her musical studies on the violin at age 3. In the 5th grade with the offering of band in her public school, she made the shift to oboe full time at age 10 after being mesmerized by its sound at a much earlier age. Meyer had a successful performing career during her high school days winning first chair all state, receiving the Conductors Award at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, and being an ambassador for the program internationally.

She then went on to Butler University in Indianapolis to further her studies in oboe with Malcolm Smith where she held principal oboe of the school's orchestra for her entire tenure. During her time in Indianapolis, she was a sought after free-lance musician performing with the Anderson Symphony Orchestra, the Marion Philharmonic, and many other gigs throughout the region. After receiving her Bachelors in Oboe Performance, she secured a scholarship towards a coveted spot in Liang Wang’s studio at the Manhattan School of Music.

While she loves music, her heart was tied to the community of friends and peers that gathered to make it and enjoyed creating opportunities for others. Meyer became program director of Wabass Institute in 2019, and was integral in the expansion of this program to become Honeywell Arts Academy, a full scholarship international summer program for emerging artists. In 2022 Meyer became General Manager of the Philharmonic of Southern New Jersey.

Whether it be at home dance parties, long car trips listening to Frozen ad nauseam or using the time to write original songs her all time favorite collaborators are her husband, and two children.
