38+2 Ride Evening Meal and Program

Dakota State University’s Native American Student Association and The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee would like to invite you to the 38+2 Ride evening meal and program this Tuesday, December 14. Exact time will be announced very soon.

Pre-sale tickets for the meal are on sale now. It is $12 per person. The meal will include walking tacos on frybread and indigenous roasted vegetables.
There will also be a donation box to collect hats, gloves, blankets, scarves, and pre-packaged snacks (such as pre-wrapped granola bars) to provide to the riders.

If you are not familiar with the 38+2 Ride, it is a memorial ride of healing that Native folks from around South Dakota participate in, to remember the 38 Dakota people killed on December 26th, 1862 in Mankato, MN and the 2 others killed in 1864. Riders, ride on horseback from Lower Brule, SD to Mankato, MN – arriving in Mankato on December 26th.
