About this fundraiser:

In an effort to lessen "summer slide" and promote equity across Woodcrest, PTO is holding a special end of year Book Fair where every student will choose up to 4 FREE, high interest, new books to keep for summer reading. (Currently only about 40-50% of students visit each Book Fair.)

Due to discounts from Scholastic and local retailers, ALL DONATIONS HAVE DOUBLE THE BUYING POWER. To provide 4 books to each of our 540 students, we need to raise about $10,000. Please help us reach our goals by donating any tax-deductible amount.

Research shows reading as few as four books during summer can reduce or prevent the "summer slide" in all Woodcrest students and close the reading achievement gap. Summer slide is the loss of skills during the time that students are not in school.
