What is PVE?

The Perry Virtual Experience is a free, 2.5-hour, interactive online experience for high school and college-aged students who are interested in pursuing careers in orthopaedics and/or engineering. Women and all gender identities are welcome. Participants will hear from women leaders in these fields and dive into online mock orthopaedic surgery simulations and biomechanics experiments.

Perry Outreach Program alumnae are welcome to register for a PVE session. If you are new to the Perry Initiative, participating in the PVE will not disqualify you from a POP at a later date.

How can I attend?

You are welcome to register for any session that works for your schedule, and you can find those on our upcoming program calendar. Please only register for one session. Sessions have limited capacity and will be filled first come, first serve. The unique registration link for each Perry Virtual Experience session can be found on the calendar event page.

When is PVE?

We offer 2-3 sessions of the Perry Virtual Experience monthly. Sessions are either Saturday morning, Saturday mid-day or weekday evening depending on your time zone. New events are added periodically, so if all sessions you see are currently full please check back soon for new events.

Before you register

Please check your schedule carefully before applying to the program. Applying to the program when you cannot attend takes a spot away from someone who was interested and available.

Make sure you have access to a stable internet connection on computer or laptop with a keyboard, camera, and Zoom capabilities ahead of time. Even though we cannot all be together in person, this will be an interactive experience and one that cannot be achieved on your cell phone.
