Learning Model for the Spring Semester
Please note:
- You will only complete the form if you are going to make a CHANGE to your child's current learning model.
- virtual => in-person OR in-person => virtual
- This change will go into effect when we return from our winter break on January 5.
- If attendance, grades, or behavior are a concern, some students may be strongly encouraged to return to in-person learning in January. We will be reaching out to those families to set up a meeting to discuss our concerns.
- A form should be completed for each child in the family.
- Confirmations of your change will be sent November 10.
- Due to the expected movement, students are not guaranteed to have the same teacher in January. Every effort will be made to make as few changes to classrooms as possible.
- An FAQ document is available in the links below.
KCS Coupon Book Sales - September 24 - October 22
Our students sold almost 1200 books! WOW!
THANK YOU for your support for our students and our school!
Friday, October 30, will be our school-wide reward for meeting our goal => Free FUN Day.
There will be several fun activities throughout the day, as well as recognizing all of the prizes and winners.
PLEASE NOTE: This is still a regular school day and attendance will be taken.
Central High School Food Drive
Students may donate cans of food to the box in the lobby at school. We are giving students 5 Dojo points for each can of food donated.
THANK YOU for supporting Central HS and our Fountain City Community!
Chromebook REMINDERS
- Please help your student remember to charge the Chromebook each and every night.
- Do not log off or turn the Chromebook off when you are done using it. Just close the lid. Our younger students have trouble logging into the Chromebooks on their own, and this is very time consuming for teachers to do every morning for an entire class.
News from the PTA
The PTA is selling these awesome Sterchi t-shirts. They are $15 each and you can order yours through the PTA Member Hub. Be sure to include your child's homeroom teacher and t-shirt size.

News for this week of October 26-30:
- Please see the information and flyer below about utility assistance from the CARES Act. Requests are due November 10.
- Please complete the needs assessment below to help KCS and Sterchi best support our students and families.
- THANK YOU to several of our community partners and parents for providing lunch for our teachers and staff! This is a much-appreciated treat.
- THANK YOU to everyone who has given their teacher(s) a "Shout Out!" It is so encouraging to our teachers to know that you appreciate the work that they do each and every day with our students. Please see the link below.
- Cafeteria news: Breakfast and lunch are currently free of charge for all of our students. However, if your child brings his/her lunchbox and is just purchasing milk, there is a charge for the milk. This is a federal guideline and has nothing to do with KCS or Sterchi.
- Please remember that your child should be fever free for at least 24 hours, without assistance from Tylenol or ibuprofen, before returning to school.
- Students are bringing their Chromebooks home each afternoon. Please help your child be ready for class the next day by charging these devices each evening.
- Contact your child's teacher if there are any problems with the Chromebook.
- School fees are $25 and can be paid by check, cash, or online. Link: https://knoxschools.schoolcashonline.com/
