Q:
I was really excited to try this coffee shop. I showed up at 6 am on Saturday and it was closed, i waited for 15 mins and saw no one pull up and no one inside and all the lights off. The hours on here say 6am, is this incorrect?
A:
I just had a glass of tea at Cuppo and asked the owner about this. He said that Cuppo opens at 7AM on Saturdays.

The place is packed at just before 10 on a lazy Saturday. You wouldn't have expected that from this tucked-in little shop in a strip center.
Walking in, it feels very cozy, the bright sun streaming thru the front windows makes the seating area up front feel like a patio at a French cafe. But further back, the nook tucked behind the ordering counter almost feels like an underground speak-easy. There's something to be said about the ingenuity of being able to create two such different experiences in such a tiny shop.
Order the usual, decaf flat white with heavy cream. "Everything is better with heavy cream" the barista says. (We wholeheartedly agree.)
While you wait, check out the watercolor paintings on the walls. But they're not really watercolors- it's painting with COFFEE. And the artist is exceptionally talented.
Coffee is ready.
"Oh wow!" Hubs says.
The to-go is a short 10oz, so the coffee flavor is forward and strong. Hubs has been seeking that all this time; pretty sure we just found his #1 place. It's delicious, velvety and robust.
So great to see such support for a local spot with a steady stream of patrons excited to get their morning brew.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ariel C.Austin, TX274363Apr 21, 2024
Got an Ube latte, couldn't really taste the ube or even coffee flavor. A previous review says it tasted like mocha and I agree. Probably wouldn't order again.
When I received my drink, I asked for the wifi since I needed to get some work done. All she said was "it's on your receipt." I told her I didn't get one and she just repeated it's on the receipt. The girl that took my order didn't give me my receipt...so I had to wait another 5 minutes behind other ordering customers. When I got to the front again just to get the wifi on the receipt, they asked me if I ordered recently...as I was holding my barely sipped drink in my hand. I can understand not wanting people roaching off their wifi, but I clearly bought a drink already. If it's on the receipt then it's on them to make sure to give the customers the receipt without us having to ask or wait for it.
I shouldn't have tipped for this kind of service.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Ariel! We apologize for your experience and that our baristas did not give you the receipt. We will review and adjust with our baristas to ensure recipients are given to customers. We often time would also let customers select options to print or not print the receipt. Our weekends are also packed with customers. Sorry, you had to wait in line again!
Our Sweet Purple Yam (Ube) Latte has an acquired taste to it! It’s extremely sweet, rich, and condensed. It is tasted differently to different customers and according to your taste buds. Some customers describe it as Marshmallow Latte. The chocolate flavor you are tasting could possibly coming from our espresso blends which are Ethiopian and Colombian! Did you know? Columbian coffee does give the warm and chocolaty after taste.
p.s. we do not add chocolate to our coffee unless it’s ordered or customized.

Been to this coffee shop a couple of times. I love the latte flavors they have - Pandan and ube among others. The interior is very welcoming and the staff is friendly.
Loved the ube latte I got this time! It was more on the luke warm side so it could be a little hotter, but I understand why some coffee shops sell it this way.
Definitely worth trying if you like quaint coffee shops!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 18, 2024
I want to love cuppo but it's just okay. I prefer my lattes on the sweeter side so if you like more bitter drinks, you may love it here! The drinks are vibrant and are visually very appealing! The ube latte tasted like a mocha for some reason so I wasn't that big of a fan. The pandan matcha tasted very artificial and the matcha wasn't great quality (I'm really picky with my matcha). 3 stars though because the workers are always sweet and it's a great spot for studying! The environment is cute, cozy, and clean!

Was in search of a place with ube lattes and they did not disappoint! It was the perfect balance of coffee and ube. As for the matcha pandan latte with oat milk, it's good but the pandan overpowers the matcha.
Service was extremely fast! I ordered and they had my order ready within minutes. It's a small space with a decent amount of seating perfect for coffee dates.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 18, 2024
I was in Houston, TX for the day and wanted to try a local coffee shop. I stumbled up on The Cuppo Coffee & Tea. They had seating inside and outside. The inside filled with art, merchandise, and plenty of seating. The cashier was super nice and helpful with explaining the menu. I decided to go with the Ube latte and the half turkey sandwich. The Ube latte was really good and different. I just wished they came in larger cups. The turkey sandwich was tasty with really fresh ingredients. However, I do wish it was a whole sandwich for the price. Overall, everything I had was really good and would be willing to come back the next time in Houston!

What a cute little coffee shop. Those that know me, know I'm all about a good cup of coffee. Especially when the staff are friendly and act like they want to be working.
They had some unique flavors for lattes. I'm all about a good peppermint, but next time I'm going to branch out and get the purple yam.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

We ordered vanilla lattes. My husband thought it could use a little bit more sweetness, I thought it was fine.
Cafe is cute and cozy. Order came out promptly.
My daughter ordered a strawberry banana smoothie that she enjoyed.
We had a cheese danish, pecan roll, chocolate croissant and an almond croissant. All pastries came out warm.
Love that we found a place close to home! Will return soon.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 158327311May 21, 2023
I really like the coffee latte flavors here. My favorite is the honey cinnamon oat latte decaf. So yummy.
It's a nice place with a good amount of seating to read or have a coffee date.
Only thing is I didn't like the pastries.. I tried quite a few, from the cinnamon roll, which was dry and not very cimmimmony to the danished which are very bread not flaky croissants. This can use improvement buy the coffee and drinks are great!Helpful 3Thanks 2Love this 3Oh no 0 - Sabrina B.Houston, TX4389Apr 8, 2024
Such a quaint coffee shop. The drinks and food have stayed consistently good. I love the unique latte flavors available. My favorite is lavender. This is one of my favorite weekend breakfast places. The staff is always really nice. It does get busy so you may have to wait a while for your order, but that's expected when it's busier.
