OMG! Finally after living in Frisco for almost 2 years, I decided to give this place a try! And boy, it was amazing! From the decor to the coffee to the food to the amazing people, everything was top notch! They have some really great options for everyone - Lovely avocado toast, salmon bagel, and their bubble and squeak ( my favorite of all *_*) It's not like your typical breakfast/ brunch places, this place does have some customize food options that you won't typically get! The prices are slightly higher but you do get a good portion.
Lastly, don't forget to try their coffee. Being an Australian themed place, I obviously went for their "Flat White" and it was smooth. Loved the size and the overall creaminess.
Be cautious that this place does get crowded on the weekends so come atleast half an hour early from your desired breakfast or brunch time so you are not waiting hungry :)
I'm coming back Baby!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nick M.Happy Valley, OR6012Apr 13, 2024
Disappointing Experience Due to Unprofessional Service
We recently dined at Aussie Grind, hoping for a pleasant meal, but were met with disappointing service. The waitress assigned to our table displayed highly unprofessional behavior. She persistently directed her attention towards me in a flirtatious manner, to the extent of excluding my wife from nearly all interactions. Her approach was not only uncomfortable but also disrespectful, as she visibly ignored my wife, even turning her back to her while engaging with me. And not just one time, but every time to exclude my wife. Would ask me if I needed anything while completely ignoring my wife. Even after I started making it overtly clear that I was having nothing to do with her, she went out of her way to stand behind my wife and bend down to try and catch my eyes. This culminated in her offering me a complimentary muffin without extending the courtesy to my wife. Quite frankly, she never cared to ask my wife about her food or anything, treating her like she was in the way. If this is how a woman has to try and flirt and find a man, not only is she desperate, but I have pitty for any man who picks up on the ugliness she leaves behind.
We came to Aussie Grind expecting a friendly and inclusive atmosphere but left feeling uneasy and rather pissed off. This experience has unfortunately tainted our perception of the restaurant, and we hope that the management will address such behaviors to improve the dining experience for all patrons.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Business owner information

Hello Nick,
Thank you for your feedback regarding your visit to The Aussie Grind. I sincerely apologize the service you received made you both feel uncomfortable.
I take guest comfort and professionalism very seriously. All our wait staff undergo comprehensive training to ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment for all our patrons. My server was shocked and extremely apologetic after seeing this review as this was absolutely not her intention. I’ve pm’d you as I would love to discuss this with you in more detail, and I would appreciate the opportunity to rectify this situation
Sincerely,

ORDER
Iced Matcha - Overall the drink was not super sweet and was pretty milky. There wasn't really strong matcha flavor throughout and pretty mid overall.
Breaky Gnocchi - This dish has hand rolled potato gnocchi, a bunch of spinach with other veggies, bacon, and poached eggs. I am not much of a veggies girlie but this was pretty good. It was a well-seasoned dish though a bit on the oilier side. The gnocchi was crispy and golden on the outside then had a doughy consistency inside. They also gave nice portions of bacon which made it taste yummy.
The Chicken Sanga - This sandwich was super delicious. It was a sweet bun with panko chicken breast, spicy mayo, and crispy caramelized onions. The onions were absolutely divine. The chicken was crispy and the fries it came with were also super crispy even if they were thicker cuts of potato! Would definitely recommend this lunch dish!
Prawn Linguine - Linguine served with prawn, buttered, and tossed with cherry tomatoes. My mom had this dish and she said the flavor was there and good, it was just a bit on the saltier and heavier side.
Chicken Penne Pesto - This dish was penne pasta with pesto, spinach, and parmesan. I think the pesto was given in a bit excess because the dish was super salty which took away from my dad's enjoyment of the dish. However, in all honesty, it could be because we are used to less salty foods culturally so this could be a bit exaggerated.
VIBES
The place was pretty crowded around lunch time. The ceilings are pretty tall which give the restaurant a more open feel. The aesthetic is very wooden, planty, and modern. There are lots of live plants which give the place a fresh feel. Seating is mostly wooden tables, metal chairs, and long wooden booth bench. Clean throughout and nicely decorated. Great for catch-ups and casual brunch.
SERVICE
Service was nice. We came when it was crowded so had a 20 minute wait when we came around 1:30 PM on a Saturday. When we came in, they had a little sign that said "G-Day" with my name. The food did take a bit longer to come out but other than that it was good. Everyone was nice. Also, just something that we noticed was that the silverware was super shiny without any water marks.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 24, 20241 check-in
This was a nice new place to try out. We went on a Saturday around 11ish, so it was really busy. Our wait was about 35min. I feel the menu is somewhat limited, most things are bread based. I got the breakfast pizza and it was really good. The staff seemed overwhelmed, again, it was really busy, but I feel like I didn't receive the best experience. Probably not going back, not because the food was bad or because I had a bad experience, it simply wasn't anything special.

I believe Jordan was our server during our recent visit to the Aussie Grind. I wanted my husband to experience the delicious breakfast here and guess what? It was still as delicious as ever.
Banana bread? Get both chocolate AND walnut options. Just do it.
Avocado toast: Jordan suggested adding some crumbled pancetta on top for a crispy finish. Wow was that a smart decision! It was even more delicious than before.
Everything was fantastic! Love it here.Helpful 5Thanks 1Love this 9Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Semhar!
Thank you so much for visiting us and for your kind review!
We’re so happy you enjoyed your experience and our team is always stoked to see reviews like this!
Thank you again and we hope you have a fantastic day!Jul 29, 2023Previous reviewThe breakfast here is phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal. For starters, their cinnamon cappuccino was perfectly made, and the chocolate chip banana bread AND the classic walnut banana bread were both out of this world good. I didn't even know I wanted it but I'm glad our server Ariana made the suggestion.
Speaking of, Ariana is just a gem of a server!!! She was so attentive, kind, and personable. She made our experience absolutely perfect.
Next up is their traditional breaky (I'm not sure if that's what it's called on the menu). It offered a sample of everything, eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, mushrooms, all plated together Aussie style. Wow it is such a good choice when you truly can't decide what you want. Get it.
Next: the avocado toast. My oh my. They through some whipped avocado on a crispy piece of sourdough, drizzled with tangy lemon, pickled onions, and CORN. Yes corn! It's also served with crumbled feta on top with a side of whipped beats and feta as a purple dip. How freaking cute is that? You can add an egg if you so oblige.
My colleague loved her eggs Benedict as well.
Everything was *chef's kiss.* It's a small space that doesn't take reservations. You'll enjoy every minute here! Their coffee/pastry station for those grabbing their items to go was popping during our entire visit. Happy for the this local biz! - Mar 10, 2024
Came here with friends for a late lunch. The location is easy to get to but parking was a bit difficult. We had a short wait. Our drinks and food came out in a timely fashion and was amazing. Normally I have to add salt and/or pepper to my food. But this required nothing additional. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The location was clean. I would certainly come back here again if I'm in the area.

Came here with a girlfriend for brunch and I must say it did not disappoint! She ended up getting the savory mince which was also fantastic and I got a Brisbane juice (not pictured) but it was fantastic.
They also have a fantastic menu for boozy brunch drinks. I didn't have any that day because I was driving. But will have to bring my fiancé back to test the boozy brunch out and have him be my DD
Latte was fantastic. Our sever was also wonderful. She practically knew everyone who walked in and out by their first name. Overall had great vibes and will be back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 8571861171Aug 25, 2023

My one bit of advice would be to get the big breaky.
Didn't love the service, temperature of the food, interior temperature of the dining area, and information discrepancy from the workers.
Did love the concept of the restaurant, new menu items I had never seen, and the big breaky.
The one dish I really enjoyed was the Big Breaky. It reminded me of an English breakfast with a ton of little items on one plate. The unfortunate thing was that it came out luke warm and my poached eggs were not very soft.
They do have excellent coffee. Not acidic .. very nutty and smooth.
So here is the verdict for the food we had. The big breaky was yummy and fun but the temperature was unpleasant and the eggs were overcooked for being poached. Their gnocchi was just ok - very chewy and a little too dense. The Angie's savoury mince was basically pasta sauce served on bread with an egg. The breaky pizza was very bready. The banana bread was dry - both the chocolate chip and walnut. The chicken parmy tasted ok but nothing to write home about - ham was a bit dry. Pav Smash was interesting, fun, but definitely something you should share. One very important thing is .... coffee was excellent.
Parking is limited. They do NOT take call aheads (although I was told they do). If you go during peak times then there WILL be a wait. Make sure to bring a jacket because they have the AC cranked to 60° or something inside.Helpful 13Thanks 2Love this 11Oh no 1
