Did not get the outdoor sitting
It is limited to a few tables
There was heavy construction outside and on one side of the restaurant.

The waiter was very friendly and polite.
Food was excellent and has good portions.

Food, service & ambiance were superb!

Sarahi & Chandler understand the importance of service. The food, starters & drinks were amazing! We keep coming back to Shorebird for a reason.

I'll be keeping an eye on how swiftly this restaurant responds to my voicemail. But for now, a word of advice: HOLD ON TO YOUR RECEIPTS! I'm usually not one to keep track of them when personally dining out, and that's what bit me on the backside this past Saturday. My bill was around $170, but somehow they managed to charge me +$500. I've left them a voicemail, fingers crossed for a callback soon.

As for the food... it was just okay. Nothing mind-blowing, though I'll give them props for the cool ambiance, as others have mentioned.

      UPDATE!

Dan gave me a call and sorted out the issue with the charge. Stuff happens, right? My original 1-star rant was just me being annoyed, but here's my honest take:

Staff was cool, service was smooth (except for the card goof-up), and the food was solid. Started with the buffalo onion rings (3/5) and crispy cauliflower (5/5), and have to say, the cauliflower was unique enough for a repeat order. For mains, the Lido Roll and Tomato Soup were okay, but the Shorebird Chicken (5/5) and Duroc Pork Chop (5/5) is what stood out. I'd definitely come back, but I'll hold onto my receipt next time.

Tucked away and not the easiest to find if you aren't local. A nice surprise location in the marina. Dark interior. Served immediately. The short ribs were deeply satisfying and the veggie tacos beautifully presented. A nice place for a date or group dinner. We were allowed to enjoy our seat and not rushed when we finished.

Beautiful restaurant, good staff and good food.

I love that towards the back of the restaurant the wall is completely opened up to the outside, so it's indoor dining with an outside feel. This is a great place for a special occasion, or a date. ;)

The lemon Caesar salad was great: I'd definitely recommend that. The dressing was creamy and zesty, and the salad was chopped into little pieces that you don't have to fight with to eat.
The swordfish was not bad, a little on the dry side, though, but the onion rings were great.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming, but slightly inattentive. One of the guys mentioned they are having a busy day but there was barely anyone in there, so I'm thinking maybe they were short staffed. They did a great job, anyway!

The best part, they use separate fryers for their seafood items and vegetarian items! I can't tell you how much people with dietary restrictions appreciate that! I'll definitely be back!

Definitely some good and not so goods. Service was a bit weird. Ambiance is very nice right on the water. Food was mediocre.

Came here for light dinner one night with some friends during the Newport Beach boat parade. They were the only restaurant we called that had a table for that night. It was quite nice to be able to see the parade from the dinner table.

Ordered a few things to share. The food took a very very very long time. Once it came out, the food was a bit cold. The portion size was tiny for all the items we ordered. We got the cod and it had a few teeny weeny pieces of fish, the sauce was too sweet for my taste. The meatball dish was super salty and not very good. The grilled cheese was super oily, dripping in grease. Also extremely pricey for the portion size and quality.

Service was super spotty and our server was a bit weird. The view is nice and interior is very modern and clean.

Probably only coming here for drinks and not for the food. Parking was easy in the underground garage.

Came here with a group of 7 to celebrate a birthday. They take reservations so we had no issues getting in. Parking can be a bit challenging but we found a spot right up front.

We were seated at the most awesome table facing the water. Our waitress was excellent and very attentive.

Most of us got the bottomless mimosas (2024 price of $29)

We all ordered breakfast and had lots of duplicate ordered. I went for the carne adovada with eggs. Forgot to change my eggs to scrambled but I managed to choke down over medium. The ranchero sauce had a good kick and the pork was nice and tender.

Some of the girls ordered the egg white frittata. They were raving over the cheese that was used. Looked beautiful and yummy.

Great place for celebrations. People were dressed casual or some dressed up. They had a great little private table up front that was being used for a birthday celebration. Maybe holds 8-10 people.

      Great location and fun vibe!

This place was AWESOME! We sat up at the bar and the service was fantastic and the food was DELICIOUS. There are two TVs at the bar which was nice as well were able to catch Monday Night Football.

I ordered the Chilean Sean Bass that came with
Asparagus risotto, caramelized mushrooms, arugula & cherry tomato salad, lemon vinaigrette for $52. The fish was cooked beautifully and the sides complimented the dish perfectly.

First time here and went on Super Bowl Sunday because I figured restaurants would not be busy. Grabbed a seat on the patio with nice views of the harbor. The waiter was very nice and explained everything and told us they were expanding their outside patio section which was in progress. It looks like it's going to be great and would not mind coming back to eat the great food. Had a dozen oysters, waygu burger, and the snapper burger. Everything was delicious and we stayed awhile since it was at a non peak time.

Carissa was an awesome server! Also the food was so good - we got the carpaccio, fried chicken with waffle, and crab cake Benedict. The chilaquiles was also to die for!! Would definitely come back here. Bonus points: the amazing view of the pier from where you sit! Awesome vibes.
