I had after-work drinks with colleagues. The bar's atmosphere was a good mix of restaurant dining plus sports bar, since there are quite a few TVs. Some ate food, I did not, but I heard no complaints and saw empty plates.

The bar staff was interactive, attentive, and amiable. Management staff was extremely accommodating. They were able to organize a business group event for a group of 10-20 people in a single night! I really appreciate them going above and beyond to accommodate us.

I would go again. I had a great time.

Sleeper brunch spot! Seriously, I didn't dive in too much to find out how long they've been doing their brunch but it seems as if it's been happening for quite a while as it's a finely oiled machine pumping out really good food and well, ya know the way to win my heart - bottomless "Champagne..." sparkling wine.

I love me an all-you-can-eat brunch with a bottomless option. While there are several places around SD that do this on Sunday morning, my favorite has kind of priced itself out of my regular rotation and Old Town Tequila Factory may be filling that slot. At $35.00 or about $45.00 per person after tip, this is a bargain. The food must suck, right? Wrong! There were several things that were totally solid and stood out on the buffet line for me.

      - The ribs. Get the ribs. While you often find ribs at an AYCE brunch they're typically overcooked and feel like they were plucked from a crockpot in the back. Not these ones. While not BBQ restaurant quality, they're certainly a hit here and done very well in large format.

      - The steak kebabs were also one of my favorites as the steak was tender, not overcooked, and when freshly out of the kitchen they're such a great addition that you don't ever see on a buffet line.

      - For dessert get the flan. I'm far from a flan fanatic but like to dabble when available and this one was special. The other folks at my table also agreed that it was the best dessert item on the line and could make a flan lover out of a flan hater.

We sat our large group on the patio with a view, which was nice but we could tell that the real party was on the side patio. It seemed rowdy over there and while we seem like a bunch of old farts, we still love to party and may request that section next time, assuming it's always like that.

      Make a reservation and enjoy!

TL;DR: good location to have a large party for dinner. The servers are attentive and the fajita plates are really good (especially if you like onions!)

Came to celebrate a birthday with a party of 20(!) and although there was a slight mixup with the tables to start, we were seated shortly after the mixup was cleared up

Beverage service was quick and the servers were really hustling bringing glasses, pitchers, and individual drink orders
The Cadillac margarita was the way to go (vs the classic) and we moved through them quite quickly

Ordered the Trio Fajita Plate (chicken, beef, shrimp) with flour tortilla for two of us and it was more than enough food since we also had some of the appetizers and lots of table chips and salsa
      - The beef was cooked to a perfect medium rare and had a great char
      - Unfortunately, the shrimp and the chicken were both a little over-cooked - chewy and dry respectively
      - The excess of onions on the plate was sooo good! There must've been at least half an onion's worth and all of it was gone by the end of the meal
      - The beans, rice, and condiments were as expected - nothing special

I'll definitely be back for the fajita plates - love the sizzle! Maybe just go for the steak fajita next time :)
And, of course, the extensive selection of tequilas for both shots, cocktails, and margaritas!

      Salud, Old Town Tequila Factory!

Most of the Mexican food in Old Town is mediocre and you get a slight price bump because of the area. You are paying for the vibe and the fact you can walk around old town checking out the sight before and after your meal.
The Tequila Factory is no exception to this. Their service is above average for the area and the servers have great banter is a perk. They are the only place with a patio that over looks old town. It's an excellent way to spend happy hour sipping on a margarita watching the San Diego sunset. Again, the food is decent which is on par for old town, so if you're looking for great Mexican I'd search another part of SD.

The only Mexican restaurant in old town with a worthy sunset view.
Combo plate with enchilada, tamale and a chicken taco. Tastes pretty much how it looks.

      Updated review

We decided this would be a nice place for another meetup. Can't beat the location and the views. It's a beautiful, sunny day in San Diego in the month of November!

We paid for a reasonably priced Champagne Buffet Brunch at $34.75 (not including tax) available on the weekends; reservations should be made. There is a great selection to include an omelette station, beans, rice, glazed ribs (still my favorite!), beef/chicken shish kabobs, sweet corn, tortillas, soups, salads, and desserts to name a few. Everything was delicious!

The server came around to fill champagne glasses. But the majority of the meal was self serve.

I gave one star off because parking was a pain. There's a parking garage, which had a sign that read Free Parking so I drove in and became confused because it said the parking fee was $25. It took a while to get out of there. I didn't realize there were so many levels in that garage. I finally found handicapped parking at Heritage Park. All the parking lots in Old Town were full.

We all had a great time as we reminisced about kindergarten and high school and discussed the present & the future.

I'd like to return with the hubby here; just the two of us. :-)

Came for a dinner for 2 on Saturday, July 29. This would be the first and last time I'll be coming here. Host was rude, our server was overwhelmed and staff is not very helpful. It took over 30 mins for our order to be taken, 15 mins for our drinks to come and our food came 45 mins later and it's cold.

We got a skinny margarita and they didn't put salt on the rim. We waited for 45 minutes for our food to come and not given chips and salsa.

The view was great but the outside seating as hot. There were no fans around. Maybe champagne brunch would be a better experience? But after today I will not be in a rush to comeback.

Overall, the food here is dry and tasteless. This lack of quality is similar to the buffet on a Carnival Cruise. The all you can eat weekend brunch is $34.99 for a decent selection of food, but it tastes like a $9.99 buffet. I suppose unlimited champagne is another reason for the fare.

Round 1. The chicken, steak, and shrimp fajitas were arid. You know it's bland when you have to add table salt, 6/10 rating. The cheese enchilada and Spanish rice were decent, 7.5/10.

Round 2. Another bland and dry plate of food. It's rare that I have overcooked fried chicken, 4/10 rating . The fish was also flavorless, 5/10. It makes sense now why they had country gravy at the buffet, as the proteins needed sauce. The quesedilla barely had cheese in it, so it was more like a tortilla, 1/10 rating. However, the ribs were seasoned and tender. Not fall off the bone, but still enjoyable, 8/10.

Round 3. The beef Colorado and chili verde were decently flavored with tender meat, 7.5/10.

Round 4. The omelette needed salt but was nicely cooked, 7.5/10. Chicken kabab was dry and bland-a-bab. Although the veggies were sweet and tender, 6/10.

Round 5 and 6. Chicken tortilla soup and Posole were typical and decent, 7.5/10.

Round 7. The desserts were as good as they looked. The Mexican chocolate cake was the standout; however, the others were delightful as well, 8/10 rating.

The service was attentive and speedy. They kept the buffet food replenished. The restaurant was clean and had ample space for dining.

To conclude, I'd still return here for the weekend brunch. I'd just go heavy on the mimosas, ribs, omelette, soups, enchiladas, beef Colorado, chili verde, and desserts.
