We enjoyed Millie's immensely. Service was great, and the food was delicious. The only thing I would ask for as an improvement is the addition of a kids menu. Trying to convince kids to order the same thing so they can split an entree is challenging at best and the servings are huge so they'll never finish on their own.

Millie's is the best spot for vegan brunch! They have a very extensive vegan menu for breakfast and lunch items including burritos, pancakes, waffles, omelets, sandwich melts, etc. If you are going on the weekend, I recommend getting on the yelp waitlist ten minutes before you arrive because there's always a line.
I've had the vegan monkey waffles breakfast plate twice and the vegan chicken and waffles. Both were super delicious and would 100% get again! I don't think any non-vegan would blink twice if you placed those in front of them. I have gotten the apple sage sausage, plantbased egg, tempeh bacon, and potatoes as sides and have always enjoyed them. The other vegan sides are tofu egg, soyrizo, a spicy sausage, and fruit.
The milkshake and hot chocolate are delicious and even come with vegan whipped cream. I tried the date cardamom latte (iced) too, but it just tasted like normal iced coffee to me, so I would get a different drink next time.
I tried a little bit of the Vegan Devils Mess, but it wasn't for me. It's not something I would've thought to order though so maybe it's someone else's taste, but I like my food more separate. The sour cream topping is pretty good, doesn't seem to be cashew based like most vegan cremas are.
My most recent visit was my birthday and they put a birthday candle in my waffles, which was a nice touch. I would love to come out with my vegan friend sometime soon.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 8759151Apr 4, 2024

Millie's is a classic brunch spot in Pasadena that a lot of people love, and for good reason! The menu is extensive and has options that can please everyone. However, they don't take reservations (only waitlist) so be prepared to wait a bit before being seated. I also feel like the food leaves something to be desired. I got the Devil's Mess skillet ($18.99) on recommendation from our waitress and found it to be kind of bland... I also got the Blue Majik coffee ($7.99), and it just tasted like an iced/watered down coconut milk latte with some cinnamon in it. For the prices of these items, I really expected something more memorable. The ambiance is fine. It's a crowded brunch spot and the service is quick because they're trying to turn over tables as quickly as they can due to the popularity.
Overall, it's just fine. I wouldn't go out of my way to get breakfast here, but if my friends wanted to go, I wouldn't object. There are definitely better brunch spots that aren't as crowded and churn out better food for the same (or lower) price.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 2 - Apr 22, 2024
The absolute best BANANA pancakes I have ever eaten. I'm talking melt
In your mouth delicious and needed nothing but some butter! I had the usual and the bacon was nice and thick without being fatty and the eggs were fresh. We were seated very quickly for a Sundaymorningaround 10-11am and I took immediate notice of how organized the staff was at communicating to get the customers in and out smoothly in a timely matter without feeling rushed. I was throughly impressed! I enjoyed my breakfast outside on their patio since it was a beautiful morning.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 59118199Mar 10, 20241 check-in
The food here is scrumptious and well worth the wait to be sat haha. The French toast I got was the perfect balance of sweet. I loved the blueberry sauce they put on top! It had real blueberries and was delicious! The French toast didn't even need any syrup it was so good! Also what I got was a half order! And it was so filling! Yummy eggs too! The coffee was amazing as well, pretty for photos haha and delicious! And oh boy did it wake me up hahah. And it's unique what they put in it in my opinion, different from a Starbucks coffee for sure. And they have other unique options as well.
They get super packed here and for good reason!
Very fast service I would say for now packed it was. Literally every table inside and outside was taken! Crazy! Also parking is not the best but oh well, it is a busy area. There is a parking lot outside of RiteAid next door though!
Overall very nice inside, a bit nicer then there other locations I have been too! Open windows to see outside and when we went it was such a beautiful day so it was nice to have that option! I would say the only con of this place is the bathroom situation, only two restrooms available, and with how packed they get there is always a line haha. But for that being the only con that is saying something!
I enjoyed all the food I ate, and the experience, and although we had to wait a bit it was so worth it. I definitely want to come back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 17, 2024
It is surely packed on a Saturday lunch time, luckily I went on yelp and put myself in the line first, so I got my table in 15 minutes upon arrival (total wait time was 45 minutes+)
The steak and eggs is one of the best in similar style cafes ... However the potatoes are a bit cold, sandwiches are regular, nothing wow or inviting me to order again. Steer away from the matcha latte, if you want that kind of drinks, go to some boba tea place... Stick with hot coffee or hot chocolate...
The dining room is small, pretty loud and busy.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 1, 20241 check-in
I went here for brunch on a Saturday. Thank goodness for the Yelp waitlist! When I joined there were 40 parties ahead, yikes! It does move somewhat fast but the waitlist is a game changer. Parking is also hard but I was able to find a spot on Hill. I was craving savory and sweet and got the crab benedict and french toast. The benedict was huge and was only ok ($18.99). It was fishy and I thought the potatoes were a little soggy. The french toast, however, was delicious. The food came out fast and the outdoor seating was nice. Overall a tasty brunch spot but be prepared to wait a little even with the waitlist.

I recently dined at Millie's cafe indulging in their American brunch offerings, and the experience was truly commendable. The Blueberry Waffle and Fried Chicken with Waffle Benedict exceeded expectations in both quantity and flavor, providing ample portions that proved to be satisfying for two meals. The taste was notably delightful, enhancing the overall dining experience.
In addition to the delectable food, I opted for the Pistachio Latte, a choice that turned out to be a delightful surprise. The latte not only met but exceeded my expectations, offering a unique flavor profile that was both pleasing to the palate and accompanied by an inviting aroma.
The generous portions, coupled with the impressive flavors, left a lasting impression on me, prompting the desire to revisit this place regularly. Overall, I highly recommend this establishment to those seeking a gratifying American brunch experience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 1, 2024
Came here for brunch. They use the Yelp waitlist. I put myself on there, and requested to sit inside. My table was ready in 20 minutes. However, the host was trying to put me in outdoor seating. I told him that I requested indoor. He told me that there is no table inside is available. I pointed to an empty table inside, and he told me that "there are other people in front of you!" I was not happy with his respond. First, I requested indoor sitting, was told that my table is ready, and he told me that there are other people ahead of me! This did not make sense to me. I told him that I would rather wait to sit inside. He asked me to step back outside to wait, and I did. He called me back in 3 min and told me that my table is ready, which is the table I mentioned to him earlier!
Ordered orange juice, crabcakes Benedict, chorizo and egg tacos, and blueberry pancake. The food took a long time to be prepared. We were starving. The crabcakes was small, and it was not worth the price. The chorizo and egg tacos had nothing special about it. The blueberry pancake was decent. Food was overpriced, and not worth the money you paid. 2 stars are for our server because they were attentive to us. Probably will not stop by because of the bad service by the host and food was only decent.Helpful 7Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 1
