My second time here. Food was delicious and service was excellent! The portion was perfect but I wish they had free coffee refills!

Awesome food and drinks ! Jacob was amazing as a server and will come back for that experience!

Collette was the best! She was a fantastic sever and was constantly refilling our bottomless mimosas. Food was great, just be sure to join the wait list via yelp, as it can get really busy on weekends.

Stopped at Mama's on 39 for breakfast one day while on the way back to home from Huntington Beach. We had our dog with us, but it was easy to get a table outside with no wait and they even brought out a little water bowl for him to drink from. The outdoor seating along the side of the restaurant was clean and sunny and comfy.

The menu is huge and there were plenty of food sounding options that it made choosing one difficult. Plus it even had a little pup menu section for your furry child.

The food itself was amazing. I had the Chava's Chilaquiles and it was delicious and filling. Crispy tortilla chips with a red sauce, perfectly cooked over easy eggs, cheese and avocado, and well seasoned crispy potatoes. Delightful! The only thing that could have been better was the black beans, which were simply dry style beans on the side; if they were refried, mashed, or saucy and the whole dish would have been perfect.

My wife had the French toast and that was pretty solid too.

The coffee was on point and they had French vanilla creamer available. Orange juice hit the spot as well. Service was impeccable. Definitely recommend as a breakfast/brunch stop on the road or a good way to start a fun long day in Huntington Beach.

We came for breakfast and I ordered the avocado toast with scrambled egg whites and my husband ordered the traditional breakfast with eggs, bacon, mamas potatoes and a side pancake.

The food was fine, the service could've been better but we weren't blown away by the taste of our food. We agreed that the pancake was wayyy too sweet. It was served with powdered sugar and the pancake itself tasted like it had sugar in the batter.

I would love to come back and try out their lunch/dinner menu. Perhaps we will have better luck.

Good portions of food. French toast was great, bacon had a smoky taste to it, eggs were basic.

Came to this place looking for a mom and pop dinner type for some good breakfast . Found this on Yelp under my search preference of mom and pop business.

My expectations of mom and pop shops: old building
Antique items hanging, somewhere saying serving since 1900s, seating with that old leather with a hole in it lol
Reality of the building: sports bar/ restaurant vibes, open view on the left side of the restaurant, typical Instagram reel restaurant video that all hyped up that you gotta try.

Anyways about that. To me the food was mid. I had the steak and egg plate. Steak was cooked to a perfect medium well and seasoned good. Their potatoes are deep fried so it was like having French fries with bell peppers. My egg were extremely white like if they were poached egg when I asked for over easy.
Wife orders her usual the country fried steak but doesn't clearly reads it all on the menu. I look at her plate the batter falling off her deep fried ribeye steak and then her steak not fully cook thru and doesn't like pink. She return it to get a different steak cooked to her liking but was over salted.
My son got a kids breakfast . His scrambled egg were either beaten really good or he got egg from the milk cartons. Reason why I say this is because they were really yellow. Break was whatever's maybe try out the lunch to see if it's good.

First time here. Driving back from Disneyland to San Diego, we decided to stop by here for lunch.

I was looking to get their fried chicken but Wifey wanted to try the biscuits with chicken and gravy. It is a hearty dish and food enough to share.

The gravy is full of flavor - not salty but savory. Chicken is moist and crispy. Biscuits are moist and buttery. Very good overall.

Kid's meal - potatoes, egg, bacon - was plenty for my 6 yr old.

Service was good.
Ambiance is that of a diner/local spot.

We'll come back next time we're in the area.

An ideal comfort spot to visit in Huntington Beach! My friend and I went to catch up here and enjoyed some lovely brunch. I joined the waitlist via Yelp on a Sunday, and we waited about 30-40 minutes to be seated. They have so many food and drink options; it's wild! For crying out loud, the menu is a newspaper!

The service was pretty mid; our waitress and the hostesses were super low-energy. It seemed like they were sad or something. But I'm not rating the whole experience based on this; it's more of an observation.

The food service was fast; I ordered Quentin's Philly Hash, which consisted of Prime Rib over easy eggs, cheddar cheese, Mama's potatoes, and sourdough. I did a nice little hollandaise pour on it, too! I would get this again; I loved the prime rib cuts.

My friend recommended we go here after Sunday church and the wait was totally worth it! We waited about 45 minutes to get a table and sat outside.

Menu has a ton of options, most of it is American food and some of the dishes will have a fusion inspiration to it. We decided to go for family style and ordered a few things to share to be able to try a little bit of everything. We got the KBBQ Pork tots, the Bacon Biscuits n Gravy, as well as the Mama's French Toast. I'd say the pork tots and biscuits were very memorable, not that the French toast wasn't good but more like I don't see tots and biscuits on brunch menus all too often. The ranch that came with the tots took it to the next level- chef's kiss! Very reasonable priced and cool vibes! I would come back.
