It's a Punjabi Affair is an amazing little restaurant on the corner of a street. It may not look like much from outside, but the interior is cozy and thoughtfully decorated. Owners are super friendly and give great recommendations. We had a late lunch so food came out super fast.

We decided to try the shahi paneer as recommended and their most popular menu item, butter chicken. The paneer was prepared with nuts, spices and yogurt. There were cashews and dried fruit which added great flavor. It was mildly spicy but not too overwhelming.

The butter chicken was very unique - it tasted more tomato sauce heavy than dishes I've tried at other restaurants, but it was nonetheless great! Portion sizes were plentiful and the naan and poppadum (super flavorful, my first time trying this!) were beautifully presented.

The mango lassi was quite interesting. It was very creamy and almost tasted like a yogurt smoothie. It was good, just not what we were expecting.

Tldr; this place is a must try! My stomach is happy.

This place exceeds its reputation. Seriously. Best Indian I've ever had! I've tasted four different dishes now and they're all individually crave-worthy. If you haven't tried Punjabi yet, you are missing out big time!

Kind of a hole in the wall so it was a little intimidating at first. But the food was good. A man came in while we were eating and didn't get any attention from the staff so he just left. So that's the downside of our experience. If you go here get right up on that counter and let them know you're there.

Husband has had a lot of Indian food, and this was according to him, possibly the best he's ever had! It helped a rough day be much better!

This is the first time we got to bring some of the kids, and it was an absolute hit!!
The food is so flavorful, comforting, and richly flavored.
Drinks were delicious (no pic of it but our oldest got the chai, she said it was delicious).
We will definitely be coming back, I just wish we lived closer!

It's passable for Indian food, but definitely expensive for the quality and quantity of the food. The dining area is not well climate controlled and all of the plates and forks, etc. were disposable. Pretty decent location and parking. The service was also fairly quick which was probably related to the limited menu and us selecting a popular dish (butter chicken). For Amarillo this is a good option, but it won't impress.

Nice ambiance but Meh food that's Over priced. Fellow serving trying to do a good job.

This food is the real deal. Lots of takeout and makeshift dining area. we have eaten in India and this is as good as it gets.

A really Fenugreek chicken and lentil curry. Keeping it from five stars was an overload of salt and the naan is too dense. Traditional naan is supposed to be light and puffy. It was closer to pita.
