Hi there. No fridge or microwave. There was a mini bar fridge but if I recall it was full for things to purchase. Lovely hotel and location thou. Don't get a room with adjoining room. A bit noisy with that. 😋

      absolutely loved this place.
We did not valet here bc we had 2 cars and were staying 2 nights.. Lord help me I dont know how pricy that would have been. We parked a block away at Houston St. garage. (or 2nd choice which is the one I wish I had chosen was St. Mary's St. garge) both a 2 min walking distance. I realized the Houston St. garage is mainly used by patrons of the Majestic so we parked on the top floor of that garage and arrived at 7p on a Friday evening.

My friend checked in and I wasnt there for that: but she said it was amazing. Everyone treated her so respectfully, walked her to the elevator area, called her by her last name, and really it was the best customer service she has ever had at a hotel.

We used the gym Saturday am and all the equipment worked great. We did not dine at the restaurant or get a drink at the bar sadly. I wish we had but we took too long getting pretty to hit up Fan Fair 2024.

I love this hotel and cannot wait to return. I will definitely stay here again.

There were robes in the room (no house shoes) but there was an umbrella you can borrow. If you leave with it, a $35 fee. Not bad but super convenient.

This location is walking distance to everything. the alamo (4 blocks away), La panaderia with its long line a block away, and al revolucion coffee (the best in all of SA IMHO) is also a block away. as well as walgreens with you last minute needs. or snacky snacks. lol.

Lots of restaurants and bars and liquor stores also for that matter. voodoo donuts too.

only ding they have was there is no pool. sometimes in the summer people want a pool. I dont swim but i like to get in and relax in the shallow end. but its not a deal breaker for me. also, i wish it had a fridge where i can keep things cold for myself. again, most hotels dont have this but even the haunted emily morgan had a fridge (my baby still drinks breastmilk) and if i came with my family this place would be out. so just something to think about.

      LOVE you lots Hotel Valencia.

as a side note: this is where the kidd kraddick morning show stays when they visit SA so if its goo enough for Kellie and Big Al, its perfect for me .

Wow. Hotel Valencia lived up to the many raving reviews I read and more. It is a beautiful and unique building in a great location, and the decor and vibe are wonderful.

I found all the staff I interacted with to be incredibly helpful and pleasant at all times. I didn't have a car with me, but the guys at the valet/door were on top of everything happening. I think in my stay I maybe had to open a door for myself once - they were always alert to who was coming and going, opening hotel and car doors for everything, and always friendly.

The 2nd floor lobby is a beautiful space with a variety of little seating areas wonderfully decorated. There is always lively music playing, and they even have their own custom scent wafting about (you can buy the candle to take home if you choose). The free margarita on check-in was a nice way to ease into vacation mode.

The 3rd floor has a nice little courtyard with some cafe tables and a water/fire feature that is going after dark to make it feel cozy. A great place to sit and relax for a bit after a long day.

My king room was on the corner in a little nook, so the room itself had a small hallway and corner that functioned well to diffuse any hallway noise (of which I didn't hear much anyway). The bed was very comfortable. I slept better than at home! I enjoyed the bergamot and tea leaf scented shampoo and soap in the room.

Hotel Valencia is in a great location - a number of restaurants within a block, including the hotel restaurant and another in the same building, a Starbucks across the street for those who need that fix, and just a quick set of steps to the Riverwalk next to the building.

Stayed at the hotel for 5 nights for a NYE Wedding! We usually travel to Cabo or Vegas for NYE, so we were a little hesitant on this Texas adventure.
From the moment we were greeted by Jose at the front desk, we had a different perspective of our Texas NYE travel. He made us feel very welcome, with his energy and friendliness. After checking in we went to the bar which had a lot of activity with fans visiting for the Alamo Bowl. Even though she was super busy, Brittany, took her time with us going over the drink menu and making drinks and bars recommendations. She had a smile on her face and loved her job! The GM Safet was serving coffee at breakfast, which I thought he was trying to help the staff, but really it is a way for him to meet and greet the guest, and get their feedback! He made sure all of the guests were happy and enjoying their stay! Bobby thanks for the free whiskey NYE shots, the other couple with us appreciated it!! lol
The whole trip we felt like we were in a Vegas casino but with a cozy cottage feel! We can't wait to have a reason to visit San Antonio again.

      NYE 2023!

The Valencia is boutique hotel, very plush but behind the curtain you have to pay for little things and ask for small amenities. A few things in our room were not working: kurieg, iron, lighted magnified mirror. They were able to replace all but the mirror. No fridge or microwave in room, but they were able to bring one upon request. There are QR code cards everywhere to leave staff tips. Complimentary coffee in the lobby on Sat/Sub mornings, which was delicious. They make pastries in house every 3 days (homemade kolaches!). Bed was very comfortable!! Room was clean and we enjoyed our stay. They had great customer service for any recovery piece. If you join their rewards membership, you get a margarita upon check-in. Fitness room is easy to use. No pool at this location, courtyard is nice but covered by 4 walls, so you don't get a view. Close to the riverwalk and very convenient to walk out the door and explore.

We wanted to stay close to the Riverwalk during our weekend stay so Valencia met this requirement.

A boutique Hotel and described as "Mediterranean inspired luxury" -they didn't disappoint. You had me at the complimentary Margarita during check-in. A nice and appreciated surprise. We got texts shortly after entering our room and throughout our stay checking in to make sure all was okay which was a nice touch.

Opted for the Valet parking ($49) although there are offsite self park options. Service of the Valet team was well worth it.

We had a Double room with a view of the Riverwalk. Room was spacious and a complimentary bottle of wine was included. Mini Bar/Fridge was included and the room stayed cool despite the triple digit August heat.
A good size fitness room that had ample cardio equipment as well weights.

Breakfast as well as an Argentinian themed restaurant and Tequila/Mezcal Bar were available. We opted to eat in the surrounding restaurants as there were a few good options. Lounge and restaurant area had a great vibe and they have a nice Courtyard.

Service was outstanding! From check-in to Valet and throughout our entire stay. Just steps from the Riverwalk, would highly recommend.

My 15 year wedding anniversary was coming up and I wanted to make it memorable. I found out that Hotel Valencia has something called the Amore Package and I was all in! The package includes a stay in one of their rooms (I picked a view of the Riverwalk), complimentary valet parking (dont forget to tip), dinner for 2 at their restaurant downstairs Dorregos, a complimentary bottle of champage and chocolate strawberries waiting in the room, and breakfast delivered by room service in the AM (my advice is call the night before and order it for the morning). This all sounds amazing already, but the took it one step further. Apparently, the front office manager Elizabeth saw my note about the 15 year anniversary and left me speechless when I checked in. She upgraded us to the Presidential Suite because it was our 15th wedding anniversary! Now, this room is BEYOND amazing. It is something out of a dream or a movie. Its most certainly something this humble disabled veteran could have never imagined he would be able to treat his wife to, and there arent enough words to describe the beauty of it all. Its on the 3rd floor, and the second you enter you are in awe. To the left is a bathroom complete with shower and tub combo with bath bombs, chocolates and a robe ready to pamper the spouse. A king size bed in a separate bedroom is next. Once you take all that in, you notice the doors in the bedroom that lead to a balcony with a river view and a cute table and chair set. Then you notice the balcony continues, and continues, and continues. Its wraps around a third of the building revealing a long dining room table, a living room with a huge sectional, a coffee bar, and a minibar. Its ALL part of the room! I could not imagine a more magical way to celebrate 15 years together, and I will most certainly see Valencia for the many more to come!

Hubby and I stayed at Valencia for a weekend. For the price point of this hotel (over $300 a night) I was expecting a lot more. The stay was ok, but nothing memorable.

The valets provided top notch service upon arrival and throughout our stay. They could not have worked any harder, and we appreciate them taking care of the valet parking for $49.00.

Larissa at check-in told us that we have a courtyard room on the 4th floor of the 15 floor hotel. Generally, I prefer a higher floor because it is quieter up top, I did not fuss since we have a "courtyard." The elevator opened to a beautiful serene courtyard, but our room was NOT serene, as it was on a corner facing Houston and St. Mary's streets. The room was nothing spectacular.... just a clean hotel room. The view was the front and side building rooftops and the street noise was loud. We heard car horns and engines late into the night while we were trying to sleep.

The annoyance of the room further amplified when I saw an email from Valencia after we checked-in telling us that that the hotel is not full for the weekend, and we can upgrade our room for $12. We were never given that option at check-in, but more importantly, for $12, it would have been nice and special to give us the complimentary upgrade for a room with a view or a higher floor for a better experience. The hotel was already empty, and going the extra mile for the guest ready to check in would have ensured that we had a memorable experience AND will return. Sadly, that is not the case. I will not be spending almost $675 for two nights here again.

Hubby and I had popsicle cocktails at the Dorrego's bar, and have to give props to the bartender and service.

The hotel's location is fantastic with a direct elevator down to the Riverwalk; however, the elevator does NOT allow Valencia access back up, and we had to go to street level and access the front door. It would have been nice to have a card access into the hotel via the elevator.

There is a refrigerator in the room, but filled with overpriced minibar items. It would have been nice to have room in the fridge for our own water.

Check-out went smoothly. We did not get a good night's sleep because of the street noise, so we were still tired and ready to head back to North Texas.

I booked this hotel on the riverwalk because they had a NYE party on site. What a great location. We were able to walk to everything. I often book a boutique hotel vs a regular due to the level of service. This place did not disappoint. Upon arriving we met Sarah who was helpful on more than one occasion. We also enjoyed the bartender at the bar by the restaurant who was very personable and connected with everyone at the bar. I don't know how they did it ( sure didn't see them do it ) the staff converted the entire 2nd floor for the NYE party. They had a band, food, DJ - nothing was missed. They made sure everyone had a good time and talked it up the night before. My husband and I had a great time and actually made it to midnight! The next morning you would have never known that there was a party that lasted until 2 am on that floor. Everything was put back and you saw them do none of it. This hotel is conveniently located close to the riverwalk and the Alamo.
The only thing we did notice our room was overlooking the main street - which was loud on several occasions with vehicles. May have been this way due to it being the weekend of NYE. Great place to stay with AMAZING staff that is there for whatever you need.

      Street view from our room.

Gorgeous historical hotel in downtown San Antonio. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The staff are beyond friendly and accommodating. Perfect for a conference I just attended. The hotel team and management really are hospitable and look out for the guests. I would stay here again.
