BERNADETTE! Wow. She really keeps this place running so well...we were impressed. Came here with my parents for NYE during COVID and had the most beautiful time.

When I called ahead to book I could already tell how friendly and accommodating she is and how much she appreciated the history of the hotel. During our Covid-friendly (aka no crowd) NYE celebration she made sure we were well taken care of, had music playing, and even brought us some donuts.

The next morning I called to request late checkout only to find out that she has already put that in for us without asking. Thank you, Bernadette! We can't wait to go back.

This place is so gross. I understand this is an old hotel. However, huge stains on the carpets need to be dealt with. So dirty and awful. Someone need to check the rooms to see if rooms need to updated.

Huge gross stain on the carpet.

This is a really cool 112 year old hotel! Really old timey and full of life and supposedly ghosts! We found out that this inn is in a nook of haunted hotels in California. Close to Main St and the Rail Bike ride we're doing. Staff was great too!

My husband and I called last minute to see if they had any rooms available. I had specifically wanted a room with a tub and they had the "penthouse" room available. We booked it and showed up to the hotel within 20 minutes. There are no elevators in the hotel but the lady at the desk had told me that on the phone so we were prepared. we checked in right away and made our way upstairs. The room was beautiful and clean. The shape of the room was a little bit odd, and it was really large but no complaints on that. Just an observation. The bathroom was beautiful. A huge tub, the shower had two heads in it and was extremely comfortable. The amenities were fantastic. The bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked, but the rest of the experience made up for that. We had dinner downstairs and it was honestly one of the best meals I have had in years. For this being a last minute impromptu get away, it turned out to be a fantastic experience. I would definitely recommend.

      Charlie Chaplin stayed here.
      Need I say more?

I was Charlie Chaplin for many Halloweens thanks to my mustache as a pre teen before my mom let me wax. So naturally the above was a great historic fun fact.

Bernadette and staff were very hospitable and considering this inn was built In 1911, very clean and charming. Over the years design integrity of the original lighting, decorative ceilings etc are maintained.

Interior lobby restaurant area. Very cool
Cozy historic room. Notice the 1 am domino's pizza left overs :/

If you want to have a fabulous meal with the taste that you're going to love. And the music that will keep you enjoying every moment. Plus, the hotel is a fascinating and amazing ghost tour with Marie Mason Ghosts Hunter11 and her team. And don't be scared all the spirits here are just so happy to have visitors...

Sorry, I will post pictures and videos soon. Yelp is having a minor technical issue

TL:DR - No one ever replies for events. Only one person can apparently assist with event planning, and from reviews, it looks like she was great until sometime in early 2022. She seems to no longer care to reply to anyone.

2 stars because this is a beautiful, historic treasure. We spent the day looking at hotels for our upcoming wedding and rehearsal accommodations, and most hotels in the area are pretty corporate and bland... until we found this one! We left feeling so excited, talking about cool photo shoots on the dramatic stairwell in our wedding attire. One of the restaurant managers gave us a tour of event facilities, and the front desk host showed us the penthouse suite. Everyone was great, but Bernadette, the event manager.

I was ready to book the suite, as many of the 32 rooms as would fit our guests, a shuttle to the venue so that everyone could stay in the same place, and a rehearsal dinner at the hotel restaurant (my father-in-law offered to pay for the dinner and repeatedly tells us not to skimp and to make it NICE). Basically, I'm trying to hand these people a F ton of money. I was given Bernadette's card and the next day, I emailed her and left a message on her cell phone (which had a weird greeting about some other business and not this hotel).

And then.... nothing. Before I gave up, I sent 3 emails, copied Maribel (who initially assisted me) and the general hotel info line, left 2 voice mails, and called the hotel main line multiple times, but the phone would either ring endlessly, or I'd be told that Bernadette wasn't there and would call back. To this day, one month later, I've heard nothing. We gave up 3 weeks in and booked the Best Western Thousand Oaks, and the sales manager replies to my emails within hours.

I hope she's OK, but other staff members who answered the phone sounded frustrated, as if we weren't the only guests dealing with this. Maybe this is her side gig and she just stopped giving any f**ks? Either way, not answering event inquiries for A MONTH is mind-blowingly unprofessional and I don't know how anyone can do that and run a business.

It's such a beautiful hotel to stay in. Everyone is super friendly, and the Enzo restaurants inside have the best meals that you will all enjoy. All the rooms have an amazing look to them. They do ghost tours with Marie Mason ( Ghosts Hunter )and her paranormal team. They do real private tours that might spook you. This is a must go to hotel travel stop. You're going to love it!!!

Chose this place as a one-night stay for work in the area but wasn't expecting this. First off, it had good ratings on hotels.com. I saw the photos so that's what I was expecting, but just the ambience alone was very haunted mansion feeling.

It's also known for possibly holding spirits that haunt the third floor.

If you stay here don't expect it to be in tip top shape because they keep it old on purpose.

Excellent customer service but there is no front desk after 9:00pm so I wouldn't suggest being late to a reservation or forgetting the code to get back in.

Here are some details about room 219:

Double windows but they don't close all the way, just make sure you close the curtains.

Carpets very thin, somewhat clean but you can see stain outlines.

Of course the vibe is old.

Fridge, iron, no ironing board, extra wool blanket, TV, two chairs, AC unit, coffee machine, wall plugs limited.

Queen bed, clean blankets and pillows. They leave two chocolates on the bed for you.

Closet is dark no light, kind of creepy.

I would say the restroom is small. The fancy up the toilet paper to look nice. Provide shampoo conditioner towels makeup remover and soap. Shower door is a little weak and shorter than the shower head so water comes out.

Overall I think it was an experience to stay there but I personally wouldn't go back for any reason. Place for those into that type of lore.

Well, we didn't see any ghosts, but we slept soundly and enjoyed the ambiance of this historic and well-maintained landmark.

Be sure to allow time to relax in the garden in front of the building and to enjoy the lobby area - it's like visiting in the 1920's, a simpler and elegant time.

The hotel has been preserved pretty much in its original state with the exception of the added historic movie posters and some modern upgrades.
